    Evening gang,

I've just remembered it's Wednesday and Chart Day. It's a miserable +2lb for me this week, but it's * week, so hoping it's just a blip. Trying to make up for it with being extra careful foodwise, but today it's been a high carb day, albeit mainly wholemeal, but we were out all day delivering cakes, so it was wholemeal ham & tomato rolls for lunch. We got stuck in very heavy traffic driving back out of London, so ended up with an unscheduled meal en route home, which was macdonalds, so that's never going to be great is it? despite the 100% beef, salad, etc and combining all food groups, it's still rubbish. On the plus side we did walk around for about 2 hours, had a nice mooch around Marylebone, Oxford St and Regent St., so there's some exercise in there for balance. I'll be on my feet for the next couple of days again anyway, as I'm making an 18th birthday cake for this w/end.

At least I know where my gains are coming from, and also know how to remedy things, so I feel encouraged and able to control it anyway.
One day the clocks will stop, and time won't mean a thing

Okay I've gone on food focus to log my food and despite thinking I've been good, I'm absolutely horrified!

I did the same Dinah. I was eating what I thought was a healthy and well balanced diet, but not really losing much weight. When I first started using Food Focus a few weeks ago, the calmix graph showed that my diet was very high in carbs - cereal for breakfast, sandwich for lunch and rice or pasta for tea. Since I have cut out some of these carbs I have begun to lose weight.

Hopefully you will start to see the weight come off again soon.

    Morning all, congrats efrieze :)
Was feeling upset and angry for no reason last night, so went out for a small run to get my frustrations out (it was either that or start punching something lol)
So a small 3.86 miles to add to my totals. I'm getting faster too, beat my last time by 2 whole minutes :D

Thanks Vix and Eric, I think I'll try logging what I eat this week, see if it helps. Been feeling a bit under the weather so drinking more than usual, doubt that could affect it much but I guess its possible. It's more likely I've just been far too carby! I've got a tummy bulge again (where I always seem to carry weight) and I want it gone, I refuse to grow back out of my jeans again - I'll stomp my foot and everything!

alcohol is loaded with calories and there empty calories as well ...

    To sum up:
    Cals: 1649
    Fat: 54g
    Carb: 224g
    Protein: 76g

And I haven't even had tea yet! If I wanted to maintain then today isn't appauling, but once I throw dinner in there the likelyhood is I'll go over a maintaining level. Thank you Eric for suggesting I log my food, I definately think I need to start planning and tracking better.

food diary's are critical imo for 3 reasons

    1) They teach you portion control, which most of us have lost, some of us big time, uhum :p

    2) Its the only way to know what you are up to so that you can then start to adjust down or even up if you stop loosing weight

    3) if you cant have the tiny amount of discipline needed to do one you have no hope of being disciplined enough long term to loose weight and keep it off
