Thanks - I had been exercising after work and before my dinner, because I had read that your metabolism works harder after you exercise, and that was going ok. But the last couple of nights I just could not be bothered after work and ate tea first, but I found that I had WAY more energy after my tea, and was able to work out harder :j

Eric: does it make more sense to exercise after eating a carb loaded meal? Or is it still best to exercise beforehand?

Today I had a yogurt and a Nature Valley bar for breakfast, beans on toast for lunch and I just had a take away pizza (not from any well known brands, considerably less grease) :o I did walk 3.24 miles, and I will do 40 minutes on my bike later, AND the pizza had loads of veggies, so maybe it will be ok...

Well done everyone for the losses! :T

if you eat a large carb meal you are basically carb loading and so will have plenty of energy to fuel your workout which will have to be burnt off before you start to burn fat

Back from weigh in 1lb so maybe not in for SOTW this week, but it was a loss despite how badly I ate-so I guess testament to the activity.

No school run for me this week (DS in breakfast club and being run home by class mates mum) so it'll have to be the wii.Not used the pedometer on my half hour steps yet so will be interested in seeing what that looks like...going to try to do as Eric has suggested and get on the wii first thing before I have breakfast.

Congratulations Jess, on both the job and SOTW!

Alliwant - Don't be too hard on yourself, 25 mins on an incline takes a lot more effort than 30 mins on flat, so although you didn't achieve your goal, you should still feel proud of yourself! :T

I'm just adding another 5 km for the challenge, which makes 36 km/22.3 miles.

Well done jess! Is it something you really wanted?

    Hi all,

Thanks for all of your congratuations. Job is perfect. Thanks to MSE I have managed to pay off my debts, so when I as made redundant I decided that I would look for something part time. Looking forward to only working half of the week, hopefully will have more time to get fit. :)

I weigh 9.10!! Woo. Slowly coming down, I feel great! If I get to 9 stone, I'm buying myself a designer handbag!

I came off a weeks holiday yesterday, so I'll be able to start again and weigh in properly!
