Well done getting out and doing all those long runs alliwant! :T
    I am jealous!:o

polkadot sorry to hear how hard it is for you on the buses with your kids and you mobility problems. to be frank, and make a very broad sweeping generalisation, most bus drivers behave appaulingly (as far as I have seen) - I know it can't be an easy job what with kids and angry members of the public threatening them - but the least they could do it be curteous to the nice people! The amount of times I've seen mothers with buggies turned away, or seen buses fly past the stops even though there's someone waiting, it really makes me angry.

To refuse a disabled mother with kids and a pushchair is disgusting.
I do wonder if the heads of these organisations have any idea what really goes on - dreadful customer service most of the time. The thing is, if it were a shop or a bank it'd be much easier to complain and kick up a fuss, but the bus can drive on and leave you feeling helpless and frustrated - so good for you getting their chief involved, I hope your meeting on monday goes well at that the boss man is able to tell the driver to always do their job and help you on.

Well done lolly and lucinad on your losses :T

Thank you for all the kind words, and betty and congrats, the man I am now dealing with is rather high up,and being that he was on the phone with me all the way throughh e heard it all and has said he is disgusted.Ive been on at this since October last year, and finally I have some big wigs coming to my home to discuss what I think is the issue.

Ive recently been wondering about the possibility of a just giving page or something like that.I feel thats being cheeky but as I can see it costing *only* around £3-400 to get my drivers license sorted...

So obviously I wont be on the wii today, and Im contemplating getting ds2 in the sling for this afternoons trip. He's about 22lb and I know it will hurt but they have an iniset day tomorrow so I can rest then. We're going to Brighton this week end...never been before and staying in a hotel...never done that before.DH will be working only till 11am so Im contemplating keepping ds out of school and sod them all.

Polka - I am seething with want you have had to go through and I am glad that man on the phone heard it all. That was very very brave of you to stand there with your foot on the bus and refuse to be intimidated, even though it must have been so.
Have a fab time in B this weekend. If you need to use buses, get an 'all day saver': it is £3.70 for adults and you can get on as many buses as you want - depends where you hotel is as to wether you need a bus. Car parks are very expensive of course in the centre of town. Once you are in the centre of town you won't need a bus I think: thebeach and 'The Lanes' will occupy you plenty. I won't tell you that the donuts at the entrance to the pier are to die for:D

Victory - good to see you back and it is great that you have got a mobilty scooter to make life easier. I catch loads of buses and I have never seen a mobility scooter on board, I would have though they are too big to get down the centre passageway?
Big events, like the south of england show for exa, mple, you can hire mobilty scooter for - a few times, half way through the day I have fancied one of themI can tell you!
As for your brother - it is better to cut contact in my opinion than to expose yourself further to the anguish he was causing.

I fess up to 5lbs on  please fred. But I know exactly why and know what I need to do to get it off but can't quite be bothered at the mo. But I won't be letting any more go on. Dog tired and been throuh a bad spell and lost the energy to focus on my healthy diet and let a few things slip in. Completely ok with that as life does not run in a straight line with no hiccups.

Victory, your youngest and Polka, your eldest sound really caring boys:A:T

    Hi,

I have come to join in with all you lovely people and make sure that this time I really lose the weight!

I have been slowly piling on the pounds over the last few years but after a period out of work, and a fairly serious ankle injury, I am now the heaviest I've ever been.

I currently weigh 163.2 lb and, although I don't have a specific weight target at the moment, I'd like to fit back into my clothes (dieting is far more MSE than buying in larger sizes :rotfl:). I am only 5ft 2 and am beginning to feel the effects of the extra weight on my knees and back.

So this time I will get active and thinner!!

I'd like to join the 5lb challenge and could you put me down for 1 circuit (intend to do more but unsure how the ankle will fare!). I'm in the south if you'll have me!
