I've just worked out that the school run alone is 2 miles a day - so that's 10 miles each week for the challenge already, and I going to try and slowly add to that and hopefully get up to 10,000 steps a day by the end of the monthPaying off CC in 2011 £2100/£1692

Welcome to all of the Newbies! :hello:
Just adding another 3.3km (2 miles). Feeling quite optimistic about tomorrow's weigh in, hoping to lose last week's 2lb gain.
Good luck to everyone else who is weighing in tomorrow.0 -
Sorry to hear you've still got so much going on Victory - I hope things will get better soon for you. The scooter sounds great :j
Vix - how many circuits are you signing up for this month?0 -

I haven't had any dinner today and I dont think I can.Victory's post has had me in tears-Im sorry Vic,its not your fault-but you are where I have been and where I want to be all in one post.
My brother and I are rebuilding our relationship after 8 years of no speaking. My mum commited suicide in 1999 and he did all "the work" to save me from having to see her.It was just too hard for bot of us and we parted. Its getting easier though.
And then in the hand the boys and I were attacked on the bus..again-because of the driver. As you all by now know I have cerebral palsy, but I have the two boys (ds1 is 5 and ds2 almost 8 months). As you'll have guessed from Brightin Belles post the other night, having DS 2 was a long, painful journey. So I use the buggy as my "walking aid".I get higher rate mobility and as such have a freedom pass. But the bus drivers wont help me get on if there are already two buggies on.I have checked with TFL and am in contact with their chief of driver communications, who has assured me the "2 buggy rule is a guideline-not a rule...and that as a disabled person I am entitled to getting help to get on.
Well today I had to phone this man, with one foot on the pavement and one on the bus, with passengers yelling at the bus driver to forget about my leg, close the door and drive-she does this everytime! Its one stop.I get on the one stop, off the next.I cannot walk the stop as its a steep hill-once out of every three times I end up on the floor and calling for an ambulance. The driver refused to even talk to the man I had on the phone and I ended up waiting just like that while the chief contacted the control office and insised that I be asssisted-I hope the driver went home in a very bad mood. The chief and some other high up members of staff are coming to my home on Monday for a meeting, and to get on the bus at the stop before me to share the experience.Of course for the two minutes I was on the bus I had passengers yelling obsenities at me.DS1 spoke not a word all the way,we got home and he hugged me,said I love you mum,and went to the couch and went to sleep, only just woke up.
The most frustrating is that I have driven for 10 years in South Africa, and I have a motability car-but I am not allowed to drive it.Red tape prevented me from converting my SA drivers license because of a particular piece of paper that I cant get here and so I have to undergo testing here.Ive done the theory once but failed the hazard perception-despite putting in about 20 hours on the online resources...and so it seems the best way to go about this is to have driving lessons, which I simply cannot afford.I have approached motability, who cannot allow me access to their grant because I am older than 25.The family fund wont help because it is not the child who is disabled.Im at wits end and just dont have any strength left for the struggle.
I know its not stricktly weight loss-but I do remember how my emotions can affect my bad habits-so hopefully offloading will prevent me hitting the 6 boxes of hotel chocolat I was given this morning:eek:(I havent shared in RL that Im back on ww except obviously to DH)0
