Hi, I've been reading the posts; particularly interesting about trigirl1979 and their cycling - myself also used to do "long" mileages years ago. Was great to be so motivated. As for now, maybe my 2lb increase has affected me badly plus my bike keeps needing repairing. It makes me want to eat even more.

    Hey guys!!

Hope everyone is ok! Its been a less stressful week for me...although i'm still on a 95% carb diet. 2 rashes of bacon a day make up the 5%! ha. No vegtables, no fruit, not much meat. I should be in some sort of study to see what happens to the body!

I'm having a good time, everybody thinks i'm having sex with this gay man, so we're playing the game and trying to make everyone think we are a bit more! Thats all my news this week!

Day off tomorrow :) have a good weekend y'all x

really bad day today, chocolate hob nobs and tea for breakfast this morning, kids party food for lunch and pizza from party number 2 of the day. And a bit of a millies cookie for pud.
2 kids parties in one day is not good for the diet.
Logging 3 hours of exercise tho. 2 and a half from yesterday and 30 mins from today

Hi there, well it is easy in the summer and when the tour is on! I decided to lose some weight after chatting with the head of my cycle club, he politely said I could actually be quite good if I would just take it seriously and lose weight. Rather than be offended he is right. I am a strong lady but lose all my speed on hills. I am hoping losing a stone will help me gain an advantage. So far it is working, I am getting faster.

For inspiration I ride to work and put the £10 I save in a present box for me, last £100 I saved I bought some lush cycle wear, this will then give me the inspiration to keep it up.

I find it hard sometimes cos I was once uber fit (before child) and I struggle to get the milage in, but I know losing the extra weight is beter than several hours training.

Get the bike fixed, you will remember what you are missing! Maybe enter a time trial now, then train and do it again to see how much better you are. Join your local cycle club, they may even be able to help source a new bike and join the club run for motivation! HTH and good luck, keep me updated on you milage!

Today no bike though (easy day) 5k steady run in 30 mins

Well yesterday was difficult; feels like withdrawal symptoms from all the previous overeating since starting this challenge! Anyway gobbled down 100gr tahini although that quantity was an improvement, plus got on the exercise bike afterwards.

trigirl - Thanks for your interesting comments about cycling. I have also been watching the Tour. I wonder what the average weight of these cyclists are? I remember Jan Ullrich trained at a heavier weight and reduced it for this race yet still looked heavier than most?

My usage of the outdoor and indoor bike has changed over the years. It has always been best to have a challenge.

I've been waiting for the weather to improve this A.M. to test it before I take it apart again. However, nowadays my mileage tends to be errand-based but I'll try and think of something to inspire me!

Well good luck Danny, I reckon those guys are feather light looking at some rider stats they average sound 61kgs, I weigh 10kg more than them!!!!! Wiggins reckons his weight loss was key to his 4th place in 2009. How on earth do they do it!
