He is so close to being kicked out it is unreal but his dad says we have to play it clever because on the whole eldest is a fine handsome young man that people like etc, throw him to the wolves with no money, no job and he may turn to drugs, crime etc to survive so because of his vulnerable influencial age we keep him here .0 -

You eldest is a similar age to mine, and I've told my 'challenging' child that as he turns 18 this year, in the eyes of the law that means he can legally be responsible for himself. That lets me off the hook, and he will only live in my house with my blessing. He has to toe the line, if he doesn't, I will gladly help him pack his stuff, and move out. Where he goes, will be up to him, as it is for any other adult. The closer he's getting to 18, the more he seems to be behaving himself. He even calls me to tell me when he's not coming home, and being more courteous. Yes, he is still lazy, doesn't like tidying up after himself, etc., but fundamentally, he is a lot better than he was. You've got to be firm, you've got to be prepared to follow it through too. You OH does need to be singing from the same hymn sheet though, no point him bankrolling him, and condoning the bad behaviour. I take it DS isn't working anymore, and not living with the GF anymore either?
Yes he lives with gf still but gf has a 5-9pm three evening week job so he returns to wait for her, eldest says daily how he is a man going to be 18 soon and we can't tell him what to do and when to do it, I tell him this is my house and he will do as he is told.
OH gave him the money because 'no child can be without a penny' because 'he asked for it' because 'he is playing 5 aside football not asking for cigs, drugs, drink and we should be grateful for that' that if we leave him without a cent he will turn to other means to get it. It was only £5 for his football subs.
To me it is the principal, he should not have been given it, he has not earnt it either by respect, chores, it is more of a demand, request, expecting than a thank you I appreciate this, thank you for standing by me and helping me, his attitude stinks.0 -

Hi everyone,
Just catching up as I have been away from home for 2 weeks - with no internet access.
Had good intentions - took my Davina, Zumba and Kettlenetics DVD's with me. First day away completed Kettlenetics (really liked it Fred, but was so sore afterwards) Second day tripped and had a bad fall whilst out walking - really hurt my shoulder and jarred both knees. So for the last week only excercise has been walking.
Shoulder still feels quite sore but I need to get back to the gym as I am feeling really sluggish, so will concentrate on treadmill and cross trainer (no arms) and give the weights and rowing machine a miss untill shoulder improves. Fred could you put me down for the 24 hour challenge if it is not too late.
Will weigh myself on Wed to see what the damage is and update.

 NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My freakin' exercise bike has broken!!!!!!!! Well, the bike still works, but the control panel has frozen! How am I ever going to finish my challenge now?!?!
I can do it on the wii, but won't be able to do anywhere near as much as I could on the bike. Going to get the bike manual out later to see if there's anything I can do to fix it.0
