Sounds like a few people are having some difficult times, but isn't it great that we have a place like this to come and share our thoughts.
Victory - I'm so sorry you're having such a tough time, again. You know I've had my fair share of difficult teenage moments here. You eldest is a similar age to mine, and I've told my 'challenging' child that as he turns 18 this year, in the eyes of the law that means he can legally be responsible for himself. That lets me off the hook, and he will only live in my house with my blessing. He has to toe the line, if he doesn't, I will gladly help him pack his stuff, and move out. Where he goes, will be up to him, as it is for any other adult. The closer he's getting to 18, the more he seems to be behaving himself. He even calls me to tell me when he's not coming home, and being more courteous. Yes, he is still lazy, doesn't like tidying up after himself, etc., but fundamentally, he is a lot better than he was. You've got to be firm, you've got to be prepared to follow it through too. You OH does need to be singing from the same hymn sheet though, no point him bankrolling him, and condoning the bad behaviour. I take it DS isn't working anymore, and not living with the GF anymore either?
Minnie - It's hard to have to justify what you're doing dietwise isn't it? My OH said when I started SW that I was eating too much, and he'd be amazed if I lost weight, in fact guaranteed I'd gain weight. I lost 6.5lb in my 1st week of the diet! He shut up after that. You are clearly getting fibre into your body in the form of vegetables and fruit. If people are intollerant of grains, they have to get their fibre in other ways. So long as you are feeling healthy, are getting a good balance of nutrients into your body, you should be just fine. I just smile knowingly and my OH, don't bother arguing the toss with him, and he knows I'm just going to do whatever it is I feel I should do anyway, so he's wasting his breath. Actually, after a few months, he's now come round, and actually sings the praises of the plan I do, noting that it is actually very healthy. I pointed out to him that doctors recommend (and even refer on the NHS to the overweight) diabetics do the SW plan, and midwives recommend overweight pregnant women do it too, so it can't be all bad.
Beanie - great loss, keep it up!
BB - ah, but those flapjacks were just so darned good, eh? Are you still decluttering? How's your health right now, and are you still doing the raw smoothies?
Fred, I did mention it a few posts back, but didn't highlight it. 0.5lb off this week (but gained 3lb the week before if you want to adjust my figures accordingly). Thanks. One day the clocks will stop, and time won't mean a thing
Be nice to your children, they'll choose your care home0 -

) like I used too.
Me too I have 18 months worth and If I could find a pattern it would of made life a lot easier. Have you got your treadmill fixed yet ?
it is amazing that processed food etc that you used to binge on regularly literally poisons you once you have detoxed from it, i cant believe how badly i reacted to just caffeine ....
as for the treadmill  phone reception at work is terrible .... they claimed to have rung 3 times (i only got one call and it was too late to ring back) and so suspended the repair, i have since spent 2 days trying to get it unsuspended, the manufacturer says it is not suspended the repairing company says it is :mad::mad::mad:0 -

Is your eldest working Victory?
No, I tell him daily to get a job and daily he applies and we get rejection letters on the mat, I would not say he is lazy but he is picky, he can't work weekends because he wants to be with his girlfriend (she works in the week) he does not want to work late at night because he might get tired:rotfl::rotfl: on the list goes:rotfl:0
