It won't be protectacoat -they are a very reputable company ! I think you must be confusing them with many building companies who will quite happily stick render on your property after hacking your brick work to bits so the render will stick and they won't guarantee it - when it rains the render simply acts as a big sponge and you're in bigger trouble! Same with pebbledash!
Where as protectacoat actually gets rid of the damp problem - it draws it out - it is the only covering that will actually seal and allow your house to breathe - insulate your property and make it look a hell of a lot better!

Forget paint, render, pebble dash etc -
I've had protectacoat on my house and I'm a very happy customer - it solved my renovation problems and added value to my home!

If you do want the best then you do have to pay for it - your house is probably the most expensive item you will buy! Look after it!

AND do not get protectacoat confused with those cowboys out there!
I have to admit before I was educated I was skeptical!

    I'm a VERY happy customer!

Oh come on, do you really expect us to believe you are merely a happy customer of Protectacoat? Your entire post reads a like an advert for them.
"You were only supposed to blow the bl**dy doors off!!"

I wonder why a perfectly happy customer of Protectacoat would be trawling the internet for their company name and then joining forums to defend their honour?
  • I'd recommend you call you local council's trading standards anyway, even if you can't remember the name. They can send someone around to investigate and check nobody has fallen victim. I did this when I lived in London and the council were great.
Got £820 back from HSBC! Now entering comps like mad with the hope of winning a nice long holiday....

......its usually the gullible people who think protectacoat are a good company! These are usually the sort of people who would invite god botherers into their home for a "chat" just coz they knocked at the door, or the same sort of people who send away for the tat they sell in the back of the sunday magazines! Why pay anything up to 30,000 (yes im not joking, i have seen people who have done this), for a product or service which you get for around 5 grand?
    :rotfl:
    COMMON SENSE!
and yes its obvious that the person a few replies above works for them, nobodys that gullible to write stuff like that

And with the only 2 posts to their credit defending the poor defenceless company:rolleyes:

    I've always gone for the "can't be bothered to answer the door approach" unless I'm expecting someone but I may have to try this;
I just answer the door and say to them "I am not in".
    It leaves them speechless.
The ones who do begin to babble just hear me continue to say "I am not in" ....they soon leave when they think I am a nut case.
  • Hmmm.

I do work for Protectacoat, in recruitment, and I am very proud to do so too. Some of the comments left here are laughable to say the least. Are any of you guys actually sales people??? As a company we always make sure two people are present on any 'appointment' we go on. Please note I say 'appointment'. We contact the prospective buyer at least three times before paying a visit to ensure they are aware we are coming and what the visit involves. We have NEVER been featured on any programs such as Watchdog or Rogue Traders. Watch these programs again and this will become evident. Do a search on the internet and you will find VERY few negative comments about our company. Sure there is some, there always will be, but there is very very little. This is quite credible for an organisation coming up to their 30th anniversary. Any replies to this thread and negative comments should be backed up with hard evidence which I will quite happily pass on to the managing director. If you haven't ever PERSONALLY had any dealings with Protectacoat though then I will find it very difficult to take seriously.
