Night night Lynne, you never get a bedtime hug from here, so I thought I would do the honours

Hello all,
Congratulations on job front for tru, BB and JulieGeorgiana.
More sun here to-day but still cold.
PP....so sorry to hear that you have had such an unusually rough time...hugs.
Sistercas....I have just finished the first Stieg Larrson book for the second time....have the other 2 to start on soon.
Congratulations Mioliere on new grandchild.
Dinner to-day was roast beef, potatoes and turnip, carrot and parsnip. Pudding was rhubarb and ice-cream....first of the year, I love rhubarb! Made a chocolate sponge too, DGS2 is here for the night and he wouldn't touch rhubarb....what is wrong with this generation of children....I remember loving it as a child, either stewed with custard or on bread, or raw dipped in sugar.
Finding the 2 dogs a bit stressful to deal with, we really need a compound or some such so that I can leave them out when we go anywhere, don't want them in the house all the time....bad for them and me!
Booked a week in Sardinia yesterday for mid-May, feel as if I need to get away to no phones or animals!
Enjoyed the swimming lesson last night....3 others whose combined age is about mine I would think...was pleased that I was more or less able to keep up, not worried about becoming an olympic swimmer, so happy enough...might take DGS2 swimming to-morrow, he can swim well, so can keep an eye on me!
Dogs in for the night, so I can go to bed soon....OH must be nearly ready to get up, he has been gone since about 6pm.
Welcome to newbies, this is a nice cosy place and extremely helpful. Sleep well everybody, stay warm and safe.
Marie
