Just a quickie (oo-er missus) - does anyone on here suffer from or know anyone who suffers from Raynaud's? DH has just been to the dr's and told he's got Raynaud's (despite the fact that I've been telling him that that's what it was for the last 7 years and to get his (blue, ice cold) finger out and sort it ). Anyhow, not looking for medical advice, as from what I've read, unless it's extremely severe they don't intervene medically, so just wondered if anyone knows about vitamins, thermals, what worked/didn't work for them etc

    TIA lovelies xx

Morning, bit grey here too:( No heating on tho',I had too much of a glow on doing the hoovering:DDS2 is at the doctors and haircut,so I'm able to use my laptop without interference. He was on it nearly all day yesterday, looking at his Ebay to see how many bids etc.Ha,spoke too soon he's just rolled in,got a sick note for another month, and an appt at the smoking cessation clinic.HIs GF is also going now shes pregnant, not had one for a while now but she's very moody ;)

We called at Toysrus and got a catalogue to look at all the baby stuff yesterday :)Blimey...the prices tho' :eek:He could do with being back at work, but is just in too much pain, and being in the building trade is not very good on the back.

Our next door neighbours in the rented house moved out yesterday, shame as they were a very quiet couple. The sign is up again. My other neighbour who I walk the dog with gave me a duck egg, which I had for my tea, along with some of the ham shank, and a baked pot.The others had quiche, and there is none left,as DS"2pinched the bit I was going to have today. We'll prob have a sandwich with it,then I'll make some soup.

    Welcome to the new people:wave:
BB- hope the interview goes well lovey.Deep breaths now :D

Just a quicky (ooo eeerr missus!! :)) just having my lunch and then I have to dash.

Hugs to all those who need them (((((((cyber)))))

Spoke to the nurse at the Dr.'s and we have an appointment with a Dr. tomorrow if he is sick in the night tonight. I'm going to do early dinner tonight and see if that helps.

Save a Holic, get yourself a pre-payment certificate for your prescriptions. It has been a life saver for me.

I also agree with sistercas, your house, your rules. She gets what you cook or she buys her own. She is old enough to be earning money to keep herself now. Even if it is cleaning, tossing burgers or shelf stacking.

Sistercas I am green with envy. I adore Mr Barrowman. Watch the dancers :D

    Hi all

I've followed the thread (on and off - I sometimes have trouble finding it) for a few years now and thought I'd say hi.

I've managed to half my outstanding debt and have set a target that my Virgin Credit Card (down to £349 from £3200) and my overdraft of £1440 will be paid off by the end of the year - but I am really feeling like I'm swimming upstream at the moment. I am trying so hard and it just feels like people are taking it all off me so I'm getting nowhere. My prescription charges have doubled (I went for a review and the GP said that it was not ethical to have me on a bi-monthly repeat - even though I've been on this medication with no problems at all for the last 10 years - so has put me on monthly repeat), the prescription charges are going up, fuel prices are nothing short of extortion, food prices are shooting up, car tax is increasing, I dread to think of what the council tax will be this year. I saw on the new last night that gas & electric are expected to rise by an average of £172 per household. In addition my food prices will be doubling next month as my 20-year-old stepdaughter is coming back from a gap year trip and absolutely refuses to eat anything except junk food (and branded junk food at that) and my DH says that she should get this as it is not her fault that we are in debt!!! She sits around the house watching tv and with the heating on full blast all day so my fuel prices are probably going to double too..... I'm just feeling a bit defeated at the moment.

Maybe I'm just on a bit of a downer at the moment - but was wondering how everyone else is managing as I'm feeling extremely demoralised at the moment.

    Save-a-holic

Can't she get a job to buy her own junk food ;)

    Morning :hello:

    Good luck BB :D

I have a job :D It was already mine, but now it's official. I start at the end of April, so I have six weeks all to myself. No more getting down while searching for jobs, asking for 'retail in Glos' and being presented with 'dentist in Bristol' emrolleyes15.gif I'm already wondering if they'll let me have a little corner to sell my cards............

I really need to get the greenhouses sorted, I'm a bit behind this year. Seeds and trays are at the ready. I let the chickens use the greenhouses in the winter so they're in a right mess, I need some motivation to get it all cleared up. I've bought some wire fencing to go across the garden. The girls have eaten every single blade of grass, it's just bare mud now. Once the fence is up and the girls are reigned in a bit, we'll put grass seed down on 'our' side. It'll be nice to sit in the garden without having to clean the chairs off first :D

Dosen't that just pi$$ you off....
    Well done TRU :T.
Anyway no more of that for me either smilley_dance.gif:D

Got the job, just need to do a CRB and my training then i can earn some cash :j. So happy......

....Off to the place of joy called work soon, I wonder where the axe will fall next. Some people who think they are safe from redundancy are in for a shock, warnings are being given about excess sick leave, we have at least 6 members of staff who never complete a full week & they have had verbal & written warnings & been sent to Occ Health, they all claim that they can't help being ill, but don't have any underlying illness, they just take time off for coughs, colds & tummy upsets that everyone else just gets on with. I think they can & will be dismissed if they don't improve their attendance but they all say that they can't be sacked for being sick....

HH, our place use sickness & disciplinary records over previous 2 years as a factor when goind through selection process where the group have to do questions for example. I know of at least 3 people who got good answers, but slipped down as a rsult of sickness or disciplinary records.
