penny-pincher sorry to hear you have been so poorly.I do hope things will pick up for you. Well done on your DD offer. Is she going to Erith College ? my DD did her 'A' levels there 25 years ago and had a great time.Where have the last few years flown to it seems only a little while ago you were saying that she was starting at senior school.
Welcome to all the 'newbies ,we are a motley crew on here but very supportive and are situated not only all around the UK but also in Europe and Australia as well so quite an 'international bunch'
Well I have had a lazy day reading my Mark Billinham book that DD gave me for Christmas , I was going to save it for when I went on holiday but the 'lure' of Tom Thorne was just too much .great book and now DD can borrow it to read.
Still very overcast today and blooming freezing this morning.Only 3c when I went to do the school run.Well time for coffee I think
Take care all and fingers crossed for those worried about job security.
Cheers chums JackieO xx0 -
OMG just seen the saddest thing ever.In the post office an old lady with obvious demntia was struggling to pay her bills, and gave me her purse to help her, so I did.Everyone else was tutting and bloody huffing in the queue, she also had a pram with a doll in it that she kept talking to:(:(:(
Have just come home, had a cry and cleaned the cooker:eek::eek::eek:

Evening all
Sorry have read thread but not taken it in.
I'm exhausted after today at work. Work kids and me had a ball painted characters on wood to decorate the garden of a local family centrewe sat out side in the sun, had some music on and just chatted whilst we worked. After they left I had to go to a meeting with my student social worker and her mentor. This didn't finish til 5pm  (I finish work at 4.30!). But the mentor woman kindly offered me a lift home so I didn't have to pay for the train home, which was nice of her.
OS wise - not much I'm too tired! freezer dinner I suppose
Have a good evening all

Evening all!
Had good day at work, I have lost a tiny bit more weight, so will update signature in a bit! 1lb off my first stone loss of the year!!
So at the moment i work a 30 min walk or 5 minute train ride from home. My boss mentioned to me today there is a change we could be moving offices TO THE END OF MY ROAD!!! this would be amazing if it pulled off. But if not i quite like my morning walk and it's still amazingly close to home anyway.
BUT end of my of road would be even better.
OS things today... dinner was stew from the SC. I need to sort the kitchen out and a second, then the bathroom, then i shall treat myself to a bubbly bath.
I wish i had a book to read...to scared to read my ibooks in the bath incase i drop my ipod in there! A magazine will have to do!
Need to take chicken out the freezer for tomorrow's dinner and i have absolutely no clue what to make for my lunch tomorrow.

Late even for me! Welcome to the newbies, congrats to the new jobs, hope the poorlies are feeling better, well done to Candygirl for looking after that poor lady and hugs to Gintot and her DD - that OH of hers is a keeper!! I hope they are all safe and well, special thoughts to the folk of Japan.
Went out for a meal with a friend last night which was nice, came home and couldn't sleep, that darned coffee! Work today, then paid garage bill, delivered eggs and a pressie for a pal, bought hen food, shopped and then had my eyebrows waxed. I have packed my (small) case for Saturday - DD and I are going South to my DBs 50th birthday party on Saturday, staying overnight and then coming back on Sunday night. Flights and hotel were about £400 in total but he's only 50 once! It's my birthday tomorrow so a bit of a double celebration. I will be going out straight from work with lots of friends for a meal and a few drinks. Must watch my step though as flight is at 7.45!
Hope all is well, Take care. XX0
