On a positive note, DD went for a college interview and was offered a conditional offer. Her predicted GCSE’s are excellent, so don’t think she will have a problem. The course is equivalent to 4 A-levels and is 2 years full-time. We are of course, very proud of her and she continues to amaze me.

Anyway, I am not sure how often I will be able to pop by, but just wanted to let you know I’m still here.

Good to hear from you PenPin. Am so sorry about the fall and all the damage, also to hear you have been so down, HUGS to you. Well done to your hard working DD, what a lovely source of pride for you. Take care, Silver x

Afternoon all and happy st patricks day!! What a lovely warm day it is, down south at least. Hopefully all the snow/ice has melted up north for jackieg & co!!
Just got in from uni, i'm about to make some dough for pita breads but thought i'd pop in for a quick post, i'll be back later to catch up on the threads! Some idiot chavs threw a fag end at my head on the way home! I felt something ping off my hair and found it sizzling a hole through my hood 10m up the street, needless to say I stormed back and whiped the smirk off their faces!! It's put a bit of a downer on the day as there is now a horrible hole inside my hood and it stinks but nevermind!

Afternoon everyone! The last 24 hours has been hectic!

I was supposed to finish this job in two weeks, I was looking for a part time job, with a LOT less travel (I pay £45 a week in petrol)....

Anyway they just realised that the Manuals at the end of a project like this is a HUGE job... they have never done one... but I have! As the site is about to go I have been contracted to work 2.5 hours a day at home 4 days a week... with one trip to the office once a week (10 hour day) but I have to take a ferry, so we are talking £20 petrol a month!

I am so pleased, after petrol and childcare (and hardly hitting the tax bracket) I will be taking home only 17% less!! for 20 hours! At the moment I work 37.5 hours and drive 7.5hours a week! That's HUGE!

We are so happy... this should take me to the end of May... maybe June!

    So
We spend money we don't have, on things that we don't need, to impress people we don't like. I don't and I'm happy!
