I tend to marinate for at least a couple of hours in
4 tblspns honey
2 tblspns cider vinegar
2 tblespns brown sugar
1 tblspn Dijon mustard
With pork we usually have baby potatoes, parsnips, carrots, corn and broccoli0 -
I always cook them in the oven and serve them with jacket potatoes, and cauliflower baked in the oven with lots of grated cheese. Its an easy dinner as it all goes int he oven. The forest would be very silent if no birds sang except for the birds that sang the best0

I normally cook mine in an oven dish and pour a tin of Campbells Mushroom soup over the top and leav to cook in oven (lowish) for about 1.5hrs. This makes them into a lovely creamy dish and serve with fresh veg and new pots...yummy!!

For years I have always cooked either pork chops or pork fillet this way.dust with flour and dip in beaten egg as you would fish, then coat with ordinary sage & onion stuffing from a packet of Paxo .bung in the oven and cook till the stuffing mixture is nice and brown and crispy. ,usually the same time as the par-boiled spuds, so your roast chops and spuds are all cooked in the same tin at the same time .Saves on washing up as well
Brilliant way to streeetch pork fillet ,or chops as it's very filling.A nice mid-week roast0 -
Whatever sauce or marinade I cook mine in - the one trick I find that makes chops perfect for me (which is well cooked and crispy fat without overcooking the meat) is to choose a casserole dish that I can only just fit the chops into when stood on edge with the fatty edge upwards. That way the meat stays in the sauce and the fat stays exposed to cook right through.Hi, I'm a Board Guide on the Old Style and the Consumer Rights boards which means I'm a volunteer to help the boards run smoothly and can move and merge posts there. I wish you lot would back-off with your recipes for pork chops
.
I was looking at a pack of minced beef and a pack of pork chops this morning, trying to decide which one to take out of the freezer for our evening meal tonight. I decided on the minced beef! And now you've all got me wishing I'd taken out the pork chops  .
Oh well maybe on Tuesday (I try not to have two meat days together) - got some lovely apple and sultana sauce that I made for Christmas but never got around to using  .0 -
Recipe i got off my friends Oma ( I think thats how you spell gran in German and as she called her Oma for some reason so I did)
Anyway her recipe was cant rememeber exact amounts.
Pork steaks/chops
in one bowl mix grated cheese and instant mash flakes or bread crumbs.
in another bowl couple of whisked eggs and table spoon or two of water or milk.
Dip the chops in the egg mix, then in the cheese mix, in the egg mix, and in the cheese mix again. Fry in pan with plenty oil on low setting turning often, when cooked drain on kitchen towel. Oma would serve this with mash potatoes and steamed veg, or like a veg rice thingnot sure what it was but it was lush!!!!!! lol.

I do several different things but my current favourite is to brown the chops in a little butter, then place in an oven dish along with sliced cored fruit (1 pear and 2 apples generally), a little red onion and some halved new potatoes along with a little marinade of orange juice (1 orange) and a couple tablespoons of runny honey. Chuck all that in the oven on 180 til its cooked and its yummy!

If your pork chops tend to be a bit tough - get a meat tenderiser (hammer type thing with bobbles or points on) and bash em for a bit before you cook em - lots of fun too and good if you are annoyed at somethingworking on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?0
