When I said "ongoing cashback'" - I was not referring to Quidco et al - they are one offs and work - I meant the company run ones !0

Who said anything about Quidco etc??? "Company" ones are those I use - "company" being "dealer". Quidco is an extra layer of profit (and yes, I make a profit on all my deals and the contracts cost me ZILCH).
Also, you seem to lack much experience of either type of cashback; Quidco etc. do NOT always pay up but the dealers HAVE TO (unless they go bust).0 -

I have not experienced any problems with payment0 -
Is that all? Not even close to what I've had from them, or from TCB or from my mobile phone contracts. Maybe that's why you haven't had any payments declined.0

I registered with EE yesterday using the now-expired deal for a £90 Amazon voucher using AWMSE90 code (from 3rd August 16 email/newsletter, as it's now removed from the live site having expired at midnight).
There was some trouble registering but now after phoning them it's gone through successfully. The only trouble is that the voucher is not shown on my order confirmation. I phoned them about that and they said that's relatively normal and the third-party (MSE, I guess?) should be in touch, but I've not received anything yet.
Is there any way to confirm that this has gone through? I went with EE specifically because the voucher made it such better value.
Thanks.
Edit: Emailed MSE, let's see what happens. :-)0 -
The main thing is to factor all the costs over the entire running time of the contract.
Using the Samsung J3 example above, you would get the J3 for free with a 24month contract @ £16/month.
However you can already buy the J3 new for £100 ( and less) you can get a sim only deal with all you can eat text and mins plus 4GB data for £9/mth from Three.
Over a 24mth period on the Three plan you would pay £216 plus the £100 for the J3 is £316 in total.
Whereas on the 24mth contract you would pay £384, making you £68 worse off.
Technology is also changing so quickly atm, that phones become redundant very quickly as well.
Especially if you are using web browsing.
There are some Chinese smartphones around now which are really good and well worth looking into.
A friend of mine got a Leagoo 2yrs ago cheap as chips, which she is super happy with and which exceeded all her expectations.
The days where chinese smart phones were inferior to the big brand phones, are long gone.mm0 -
A couple of days ago I ordered the Oukitel C3 for which I paid a whopping £40!
I researched the specs I wanted and then decided not too risk too much money on a phone I would not be able to test or see irl before buying. I decided on the Oukitel C3 based on the specs which are impressive for a phone in that price range and looks.
I looked at a couple of Review videos which were all positive to very positive.
The phone arrived yesterday and I am very surprised. I did not expect this level of performance or build quality from a phone for £40.
It has got Android 6 and what is even more impressive Oukitel sends updates ( which usually only flagship phones receive).
It has got a 5 inch screen, 1280x720 HD, 1GB Ram 8GB internal ( which can be expanded via micro SD), a removable battery ( which was top of my list), 3g ( that's where I compromised), 2 sim card slots and a great design.
It looks and feels a lot more premium than £40 (more like a couple of hundred £££s).
This phone has a much better build quality than my old Samsung Galaxy Note ( which has an abysmal build quality).
You will find lots of useful reviews of the phone on youtube0 -

where did you get it? Do you have a link?
TIALife is a coin, you can spend it anyway you wish, but you can only spend it once.
Go as far as you can see, and when you get there you'll see further.
Take time but don't waste time0 -
Anyone had their Amazon £90 Voucher code arrived so far? "AWMSE90" from MSE back in Aug time. I saw somewhere it will likely take 3 months and now is Nov 16 and 3 months had passed.0

BT SIMO - WARNING - HELP
I need the community's advice and guidance - also this should serve as a warning to fellow forum members.
I signed up for a BT Sim only deal 2015 December.
When my contract was coming to a close - I called BT and asked for my Pac code. At that time on mse and hotukdeals - there were some seriously discounted deals from competitors - and many people were switching.
I was told that there was a problem with BT's pac system - somebody would call me back - and the PAC process would be imitated.
A few months passed - no call - we had a number of unexpected deaths in our family - so I had other priorities in those months.
April - Again called up and asked what was going on - give me my pac please. They threw £25 credit at me (keeping the money for the extra months). Again there were amazing competitor deals - so yet again I asked for my pac.
You won't believe this - for the second time on that same call - he said our 'systems are malfunctioning - somebody will call back and start the pac process'.
It is now September - and I am being very serious - BT are not giving me the PAC when asked for (twice).
All calls were legally recorded by me too.
How do I get out of this - they are holding me hostage on this contract and have been taking £21 per. month from my account for many months against my will. This is for a contract I had said I wanted terminated - on a call I recorded - this has happened twice.
I need your help and advice. Thank you to anybody willing to help.
