Try to suss out other brands aside from WW which have equal nutritional value (I'm not going to say healthy cos I honestly don't believe half their products are that healthy!). What's so WW about the jam? Is it reduced sugar? In that case, buy a supermarket own brand. WW bread? It's just got more air in it! WW soup - there are loads of better choices and healthier ones that are far more substantial to eat.

Honestly I despise how much money this company takes off people in the name of healthy eating. I don't mind their weight watching clubs, that's fair enough, but their food is a con! You can find things of same nutritional value in every supermarket and it isn't labelled as being so called healthy!

The WW jam is lovely, that's why I buy it  Tried other jams but don't like them.

My Dad came a couple of weeks ago and my husband made him some jam on toast, he loved it that much he wants me to get him some and there is nothing of him!

The WW soups are Heinz, which are the only soups I like, and at 49p for lunch, I can't grumble!

I like the bread too, what can I say?

I don't buy them just because they're WW, I'm not even following the WW diet, I just like those 3 things. There's nothing else 'WW' branded in the house.

Did anyone watch a programme recently on BBC3 where the celebrity only ate low fat food for a month and ended up putting on weight?

I must admit it was certainly an eye-opener.

I would love to be at least 3 stone lighter (currently 14st 13lbs - that 1lb is such a physiological thing!) so I've taken up going swimming once a week .....would love to go more but life is getting in the way!

I've changed from drinking urns of tea and coffee to drinking green tea (I know its an acquired taste) but if green tea isn't available (I've given up tea and coffee for Lent) I'll drink just boiling water.

I've also started taking food to work for lunch which stops me buying carp off the food van or going to greggs.

The one other thing that I'm doing is that I'm not letting anyone know I'm doing it - everyone in my department seems to be on some sort of health kick and I'm pretending to be fatties last best hope - that way if I want a choccie biscuit I can have one with out everyone giving me the do you really want that look.

She only ate low fat ready made meals didn't she?

So not a normal low fat diet, incase that puts anyone off eating a low fat diet.

You just seemed to emphasise the WW products being in your diet that's all. Can't imagine anyone trying their products if they didn't think they were somehow healthier than the other stuff on the shelf though, know what I mean?

I've done the same myself with their cakes and then wanted to slap myself for it, lol. :D Of course there aren't many points/calories in a piece of their carrot cake. They are the size of a matchbox. Lol.

Didn't mean to emphasise the name, was just explaining what I have been eating since the beginning of the week.

I did follow the WW plan a few years ago and first tasted the bread, jam and soup back then. I've always bought the jam and soup since, even when I wasn't dieting.

Agree with the cakes, they're only good on the diet because there's only a mouthful! That's why I won't buy anything else like that because it's just a gimmick.

:D I agree. And i love how they're sold in packets of 6 or 7 - like I'm going to be able to stop at 1 piece of cake.

I do hate diet products, full of sweetener and other rubbish. I put canderel in my coffee in the morning and wish I wasn't doing that. But if I put sugar in I might not be able to fit a curly wurly into my daily points. ;)

I've bought the odd WW meal when I've been in a rush and just wanted something quick. They are ok if you add tons of veg!

Anyone else find it a constant battle and anyone got any tips!

Yes, I have problems with my weight, too. I'm 5'6" and 12 stone. I have stayed at that weight for a long while now, but it's still too much, especially based on my BMI.

I'm going to try the Harcombe Diet (you can find the books on Amazon and Play.com). It's a bit long-winded to explain, but basically I have hypoglycaemia, which is the complete opposite of diabetes (I produce too much insulin so my blood sugar level is continually going up and down too drastically), but which could eventually turn into diabetes (if my pancreas exhausts itself and completely stops producing the insulin).

When you eat both carbs and fat in the same meal, the carbs are used for energy and the fat is stored. Also, with hypoglycaemia, too many carbs are bad because carbs make the pancreas produce a lot of insulin. When there's too much insulin in the system, it's converted into an energy sugar, and when the 'energy stores' are full, it's converted again into fat. So when I eat too many carbs (a lot of bread, pasta, etc.) I produce more insulin which ends up as fat. Hence why counting calories and reducing fat intake actually isn't that good.

The Harcombe Diet, developed by Zoe Harcombe, who suffered when she was younger with anorexia and bulimia, and who discovered that she had all three of the conditions she confronts in her books (candida, food intolerance and hypoglycaemia), can get rid of your cravings and completely reverse the problems caused by the three conditions, which you might not realise you have until you read the symptoms. It's funny because my sister has candida, my mum has food intolerance and I have hypoglycaemia - it sounds like the perfect diet for us all to try!

You can look at the website, http://theharcombediet.com/ to get more information.

Are we ever happy with how we are???

I only ask as this time last year I was 12st 1lb and fooling myself that at 5'5 that was OK.... I had my LBM on 1st May when I was supposed to be going to a wedding reception and looked bloomin awful!

I was 2nd week January 9st 13lb which is better and a comfortable size 12 although I am finding that there's been some of my old habits creeping in the last few weeks and I am feeling decidedly doughy again. I havent weighed but I reckon I've put at least 1/2 stone back on....

But I wasnt happy at 9st 13lb wanted to drop it to 9st 7lb, would it have stopped there I wonder???? (not that I think I would have got there!!)

    I just have lost motivation...

I'm happy at a size 14 on average (16 top, 14 bottom in some shops)

Any smaller like that and I look daft because I've got hooge boobs.

I was last that size in 2006 when I split with my now husband for 6 months and was sooo comfortable in my skin.

I keep telling him to leave me again so I can lose weight but he's not up for it ~ git!

I'm completely fed up. I did Lighterlife in early 2007 and lost 4 stone, I then went on to meet my husband and have a baby and have now put it all back on!
I want to lose a lot of weight, i'm almost 5'9" and am a dress size 18ish, but looks can certainly be deceiving.

I joined SW in January and have already lost 1.5 stones, my target is 31st December 2011 weighing around 10 stone. I cannot even remember the last time I weighed that!!

I've cut out bread completely, I eat a wide variety of fruit and veg, protein and low GI carbs. I do need to drink more water though.

That's a fab weight loss, well done!

Do you find SW easy to stick to?

Everyone I know who is dieting is on SW and they're losing really good amounts of weight.

I've heard and seen some of the things they're eating and can't get my head round how they are losing weight by eating that much!

I don't want to join the classes just yet, but if I start to struggle, I won't hesitate to.

3 dress sizes I want to come down, so about 3 stone to lose.
