I've lost 6lb since last Monday! Weighed myself this morning and was so pleased!
Didn't even cheat with food once in the whole week. The most I got to a treat was a nutrigrain bar.
I did have my usual bottle of rose on Friday night, but I didn't get the munchies afterwards, I was just knackered and felt awful.
One thing I've noticed tho, apart from that wine on Fri night, all I've drank for the rest of the time is water, and my lips have been really really dry?! Didn't think they'd get dry if I was well hydrated?
Strange...Tank fly boss walk jam nitty gritty...0 -

i do loads of walking no car and i dont have fizzys. I play sport on a Friday night but obvioulsy need to do more! I have been taking citalopram for the past year and wondered if it was a side effect but its probably not. I agree that slimfast is a short term fix but it does work while you are on it?
I took Citalopram for several years until 6 months ago and rather than putting on weight while taking it I put it on after stopping taking it as odd as that is .0 -
Re citolopram, I put weight on when I was on them so doctor switched my to Fluoxatine however he did say most tablets in that category do have a tendancy to increased weight gain0

Hope you don't mind if i join in, i'm 5ft 7inches and weigh 10st 4lbs ( i weighed myself in boots yesterday), this is not horrendous but my weight seems to settle on by bum, hips and thighs. I want to be able to wear nice things without resorting to long cardis to cover up my bum, i think i'm a pear shape although my tummys flat, my bottom half is hideous.....0

Hi,
hope you don't mind me joining in...
Basically I don't have a huge weight problem, I'm larger than I would like to be, but I manage to keep my weight pretty stable through the year but always try to loose a bit for the summer (which goes back on in the winter!!).
I'm 5'10 and currently weigh 13 stone and wear a dress size 16.
DH insists I don't look big, but undressed I feel that I ought to weigh less. I'm lucky in that I have fantastic will power - once I start to cut down it's easy for me to stick to it despite having a hubby and 3 kids who all eat the stuff i'm currently avoiding (so I know I'm very lucky on that score).
Mid February my weight was 13stone 10oz when I decided to start loosing a bit for the summer (i hate my flabby arms and am a bit too heavy around my bum). For the past 3 weeks I have been 13stone and not budged an ounce.
I can only assume I'm not eating enough to be loosing weight and have gone into the dreaded starvation mode.
Basically I currently eat:
B'fast - cornflakes with ss milk
Lunch - 2 x low fat yoghurts and 2 pieces of fruit
Tea - whatever every one else at home is eating (all home cooked good stuff - I don't feed the kids carp!!).
No snacking, no alcohol during the week, just a couple of glasses of wine on sat'day and sunday night....
So, what do you think?? Do you think I need to up my intake? I have to say that it seems rediculoius to be on a diet and not to be eating enough, and the thought of eating more fills me with dread as I've been sooooooooooo good so far......0
