That's a fab weight loss, well done!

Do you find SW easy to stick to?

Everyone I know who is dieting is on SW and they're losing really good amounts of weight.

I've heard and seen some of the things they're eating and can't get my head round how they are losing weight by eating that much!

I don't want to join the classes just yet, but if I start to struggle, I won't hesitate to.

3 dress sizes I want to come down, so about 3 stone to lose.

Thanks :) I'm finding it really easy although the past couple of weeks I haven't lost anything after going out for a few meals and parties ... but back on track and nothing gained.

I have 2 weetabix in the morning, and maybe some fruit. For lunch I'll eat a couscous salad with some greek yogurt and for dinner maybe jacket potato, spaghetti bolognaise (filled with veg and meat) and always have 1/3 my plate filled with salad or vegetables.

I'm not sure when I'll drop a dress size, I don't feel much different yet and I know I need to exercise more, I'm just glad I don't drive!

I advocate not a diet plan but to gradually change the choices you make, slowly over time, until one day it will become habit. Won't work if you're after a quick fix but then quick fixes don't always do the job do they.

Look at everything you eat and see where you can make a healthier choice you will be happy with. Ditch the family size frozen pizza and get a small deli fresh one instead. Cut out or down on empty calories/sugars such as sweets, biscuits. crisps and fizzy drinks. You can still have meals you love without giving up the good part, like spaghetti with meat, how about adding sweetcorn and extra tomatoes?

Have lots of the fruit and veg that you enjoy, berries during the summer are lush and very refreshing. Use a smaller plate, it really does work.

It's ok to be hungry as well! If it's an hour until a meal no point in having a snack then or before bed. Always have a big glass of water with meals. If you feel you do need a snack then wait an hour and see if you still need it.

Have a treat when you fancy one, just not every day! Get a chinese or Pizza Hut, but plan to have it and be extra good that week. Maybe order one or two less dishes from the menu if you have alot. You will really enjoy it!

My weight has never borne much relation to my size, so I wouldn't worry too much about what scales say.

I'm a size 14 and unsure what I weigh now but anyone having a guess is usually way under what I actually am!

I lost 3st doing Paul McKenna's I Can Make You Thin and now if I find myself slipping back into boredom eating I listen to it again and it stops me doing it!

I think it provides the will power I was lacking...

I have that too.. usually 2-3 stone less than I am as well..

Plus when I dropped from 11'10 stone to 9 I still wore size 16 and it was no looser.. it all seems futile.

I was at midwife yesterday and was weighed etc.. then she added 2kg on and calculated my BMI which was of course 2 points higher than it actually is.. and she said as it is over 30 (30.1 to be precise lol) I cold be referred to the healthy eating nurse.. I said what so she can tell me to not eat all the things I can eat and like eating and that I should eat all the things that make me ill... no ta.. I'll stay cuddly.. Bear in mind I have a 7 month old baby and 1st left from having her (joys of breastfeeding making the lard stay put) and the only thing that stops me feeling nauseus right now is eating and I am on carb overload to keep my blood sugar straight..

Surely you've lost a dress size after losing 1.5 stone? If not, then you should be on your way soon!

Didn't think of having weetabix ~ we always have them in for the little man so might get myself a pint of skimmed milk and have some!

I've actually found that aiming to spend less at the supermarket actually results in a healthier diet. You do have to be careful to balance it though.
Chocolate and cakes are bloody expensive. Big bag of pasta, fresh veg isn't.

Water is basically free, Coke and fruit juice are expensive.

Once I made the connection that I'm actually paying to make myself unhealthy it clicked. Diet is more important than exercise - look up the stats on how much time you have to spend running to work off a burger, for example.
Said Aristippus, “If you would learn to be subservient to the king you would not have to live on lentils.”
Said Diogenes, “Learn to live on lentils and you will not have to be subservient to the king.”
