Yes I probably could, If I had a credit card. If I could get in touch with him, and If I had a spare £50.00.
You seem to be the one struggling here. You don't even have a clue where he is, which complicates matters. What are you expecting exactly? For someone to tell you where there is a stash of cash kept in every town in the land? Well, that ain't going to happen. I'm afraid the advice you've already been given on here is about the best you will get tonight. Tomorrow, there will be more services open and more legwork for him to do. Sadly, street homelessness IS a fact of life in Britain.0 -

Unfortunately their helpline is closed at present, however their website gives links to hostels, night shelters and emergency teams in various areas that may be able to help.
Whereabouts is your friend located as that may affect the number of emergency options that are available.
Their website?????????? .. how the hell is he suppose to access a website at this time of night?
Why didn't anyone at the benefits centre give him this advice when the libraries were open?
Do you want me to tell you what I advised him ... GET ARRESTED .. you will at least be under cover.!!!!!!:wall:
How messed up is that???????????????
He doesn't even have any points on his driving licence and thats all the advice I could give him!!!!:embarasse0 -

Then how do you help him tonight?0 -
How about you looking things up on a website and phoning him with some numbers. Just a thought!0

He's already said that he can't get in touch with him. I guess he's using the force?0 -

You advised him to commit an arrestable offence rather than walk 7 miles...? Really?? That will make him even more attractive to employers NOT!
You can't contact him so there is nothing you can do tonight. The only thing he can do tonight is walk to a shelter and hopefully, he has ignored your ridiculous suggestion and done just that!0 -

You wont find many of these on at this time of year - or at night.
OP have you tried contacting SHELTER?
Z2K might be able to help. www (dot) z2k.org/supporting-vulnerable-households0 -

Most of the larger supermarkets have masses of refrigeration units both on the shop floor and in their storage areas. These are run (like the shops) pretty much 24/7. And they work by heat exchange. ie they generate heat in the process of creating cold.0 -

Are you telling me depending on where he is, the DWP rules change??
As already said Willie Keep up .. Im sure by now he's bedded down with the wildlife and nothing CAN be done tonight.
However, as said (get fed up typing that phrase) where does he go from here??:wall:
I have been straight and honest with each and everyone on this forum, Im doing ALL i can from where I am.:)
I DON'T have a credit card, I cannot afford to pay a taxi for him to come to me, he has no money to get a bus to me, (if there is one) so what else do you suggest I do??
Cos believe me I open to suggestions!!:T
Yeah, your right, street life sucks, but it build resourcefullness.:T0
