Harveys Fabric Protector - Warning!

Hi Mick,
I have an update just to let you know that I have now received my medical examiners appointment to see the Consultant who specialises in Respiratory Medicine. This should confirm all the symptoms we have all been suffering from because of the Fabric Spray.
I will of course keep you up to date with my progress; however I expect you will see the same consultant and will confirm your condition and the many others who are suffering.
I hope this matter is brought to a close shortly, but I know that the matter has been escalated to inform the public by the use of the British media and internet. This matter is progressing the same way the Argos matter did with the sofas that were toxic.
For the life of me i don't understand why Harvey's would want this to go public and to painted in an adverse manner in the British media.
Thanks

Hi Everyone,
Please when you have a moment out check this Newspaper Article published yesterday 14th August 2011. The article has given the public information about one of our fellow Harvey’s customers, who has been effected by the Fabric Spray. I sure I speak for everyone when I say our thoughts are with you. I think it is disgusting how you lost your young puppy a member of the family to a Fabric Spray that should have never been sold. We all thank you for talking a brave front and allowing the public to know what has happened to you and others. Thank you Jamie & Stacey for helping with bringing this matter to the publics attention.

Thanks Sean for posting that.
Can I just put the record straight that neither Tia or Indy sat on the sofa at the time it was sprayed or before they went to the vet.
The press is great for exposure but sometimes they get it wrong, the original article published in the Sunday mail was right as far as I’m aware (I’ve not read it yet)
We are sorry to hear that this spray has affected so many people our heart goes out to all affected.

Stacey,
They will always get it wrong, but I am grateful that you put yourself out there for all of us that have been affected by the Fabric Spray.
I hope that Harvey’s will do something so we all can get some closure in this matter. They are in the wrong but they are just not making any progress, they just fob us off with rubbish about investigating the Fabric Spray. Well we have all done the research and guess what is toxic.
Thanks

Hi Sean
That's why we started this thread to draw it to the attention of other consumers, Our primary concern was to advise people of the affects we had, to give consumers a more informed choice.(more press could be on the way)
The legality is up to the lawyers to sort out since this is in the public domain we are trying to limit what we say due to the ongoing case.
Sorry all for the caginess but don’t want to give Harvey’s a loophole to pull at.

Stacey,
Of course you are right I was the one who first contacted the current solicitor and instigated the posting of their details for others to use. I believe i am the first to see the medical consultant but i know that further appointments are on there way. This piece of information i don't mind them having.
Say no more I will not place any further information that will allow Harvey’s any kind of loophole.
I look forward to this matter being resolved.
Once again thank you for helping us.
Thanks

Thanks Sean,
Please all do not take the last couple of posts as a call to be silent, if this spray has affected you please speak up.
if your still in possession of this spray and have not used it Please DON'T based on my own experience.
If you have used it to ill affect please post to let Harvey's know its not so much the 'minority' that has been affected.
Kind Regards

I know its a long time but what happened to this thread in the end?I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0

Hi peter_the_piper,
The case is still ongoing at the moment but another article has be published on sat 14th Jan in the Sun about it, the facts from myself in it aren't completely accurate but still good press
Cheers

Thanks, don't like to see a good thread die without knowing the outcome, sure others think the same way.I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0
