I received my reward today (after I chased) - was sent special delivery.
Once I've used up the points I have -still chasing some from December - I willclose the account. Far too much hassle!Northernlights0 -
My experience with ipoints so far has been that the support e-mails are of little use, although things have been moving much quicker since I called them last week (1070 ipoints now credited, only 200 to go).
It wasn't a nightmare to get through to someone, the person on the other end of the phone was pretty helpful and the points have been credited within a week . . . lesson learned: don't rely on e-mails.
Incidentally, does anyone know what Sendit.com's policy is regarding these vouchers? I'm planning on taking a few £10 vouchers, but don't know if they could all be used on one order. Thanks in advance!0 -
I have enough points for a flight to new york (2500), does anyone know how this works? Is it through the buy and fly thing or do they book it directly? On the face of it this seems the best use of 2500 ipoints (well actually I have 2708) since the amazon rate went up. any better options?0

It's not clear from the web site but I assume it will be through buy and fly - bear in mind you will have to pay all the taxes, fees and charges on top of your 2,500 ipoints (likely to be over £100) for your flight.0 -
You got to love these boys, a response to one of my tickets;
All ipoints normally take up to 30 days to be credited.We are however a little late receiving the data from the websites concerned. If you have not received the points after another week or if it has already been more than 45 days please let me know, including as much information as possible.
Please note that in most cases you are only eligible for ipoints if you have followed links from the ipoints website (or emails) to make your purchases or complete the offers. If you have not used ipoints links then you will most likely not be able to earn ipoints.
Additionally you should always use the email address registered with ipoints when performing ipoints activities - many of our affiliates simply report email addresses to us, and if they report an email address which does not have an ipoints account linked to it, those points are lost.
Please let me know if you have any questions regarding this
Kind Regards,
Customer Services
And a response to another one;
Thanks for your email. In order to look into these points we will need to know:
- The name of the supplier
- The date you signed up with the supplier and completed the offer
- Exactly what you did (including names and prices of items purchased)
- How many points you are expecting
- Any reference or order numbers
- The total amount spent on each one
Please feel free to contact me with any further inquiries.
Kind Regards,
Customer Services
The above one wouldn't bother me so much except for the fact that ALL this info was already in the support ticket! Not a delaying tactic by any chance? But no I'm not being cynical, am I!
Needless to say he did get a rather pedantic response...2p off is still 2p off!0 -
Appears to be no movement from Ipoints. According to their statement the redemption increases on all vouchers should be no more than a set 160 points. But the actual increases are sticking resolutely at an extra 220 points for the highstreet vouchers (accounting for the increase in voucher value from £25 to £30), 215 for £30 Amazon, 330 for £50 Amazon, and over 500 points for £100 Amazon. An “error” which seems will not be rectified.
To be honest the statement is such a lazy piece of work it’s not surprising they didn’t even bother to get the figures right. The assertion that the delays and problems with redeeming vouchers over the last few months is down to “lost post” is an insult to everyone’s intelligence. So the popular redemptions are now prohibitively high and there’s a significant points penalty in taking them up.
It’s worth considering what these increases actually mean in money terms. The value of one awarded ipoint is about 5p, and I assume Ipoints retain about 50% of all income generated. So at 615 points you’ve generated enough revenue to cover a £30 voucher, and brought in the equivalent amount for Ipoints. But now you will have to bring in a further £20 effectively as a handling and postage charge. For a £50 voucher that’s an extra £30 revenue to generate. For a £100 voucher it’s about £50 more income you need to make for Ipoints. £50 to put it in an envelope and post it. Wow. I’ve had a 3-piece-suite delivered for less than that.
Can’t get any joy from emails over endless missing points and I’ve been stuck in member support hell for 2 months, so I’m writing it off and cashing in what I can for sendit vouchers. Don’t want to hang around for the all new exciting redemption catalogue because if their current practice is anything to go by it’ll be 200 points for a kick in the nuts.
A final plea. Please don’t continue to use or endorse Ipoints at the moment. Take yourself off the mailing list or cash out and actively close your account so you’re off the membership figures they tout for marketing. They really need to be taught that there is no reward for incompetence and lack of integrity.0 -
From experience I would try calling them, the person that answers the phone (Charlene) is very helpful, the person who responds to support tickets (Paul) isn't!
I had recently recommended someone but given light of my recent experiences told him not to bother using the account.
Once I get this last lot of points I will consider closing the account.2p off is still 2p off!0 -
No further with my missing points! umpteen support tickets, 2 emails to Charlene unanswered so far.. Can any one suggest someone else I can try that they've had a reply from at ipoints?
