  • After reading all of the replies on here about how bad ipoints seem to have got I was getting worried that I would have problems redeeming from them so last week I ordered 3 x £10 sendit vouchers, I ordered 2 on thursday and 1 on friday as I still needed a couple of points for the last one. Anyway I had 3 emails around 11:30 today to say that the vouchers had been ordered and then sendit emailed me just before 12 to say that the voucher has been credited to my account.

So I checked and my account had £30 in so I promptly ordered a new game and I will also receive 30 ipoints for the order as well. So all in all I got quite a good deal out of this as I saved myself 10 points by ordering 3 x £10 vouchers rather than 1 x £30 voucher and I should also receive another 30 ipoints for the privilege. I know it doesnt resolve all of the problems that you seem to be having but I am really happy with ipoints.

Hope you all have some luck sorting out your problems with them.

They're really starting to annoy me now, everytime i bring up an issue with them they reply with -
"I am writing to inform you that we will not be providing you with your rewards.
We have tracked patterns of activity which indicate that these are not genuine distinct individuals creating new ipoints accounts on your recommendation.
If this is not the case, and you can provide me with some indication that the people you have recommended have indeed joined up of their own accord, I will happily reinstate your account and apologise for any inconvenience."

It's all a pile of crap to be fair. They seem to claim i've recommended people and that they're not 'geniune' yet I haven't invited anyone to join Ipoints, and there's no points from referrals in my statement. Everytime I ask them what they're on about they close the ticket and don't give me a proper answer. Phoned them today and they're going to e-mail me back in a few days....what's the betting i'll get exactly that same response again? (Either that or no e-mail at all)

    Not impressed!

It gets worse - checked my ipoints account today to find that my 452 balance is now 4520 - they have revalued points so that one old ipoint is the equivalent of ten now.

Amazon and High Street Vouchers have disappeared as rewards - sendit.com are the only ones that are left. All you can get now is a limited selection of gits and magazine subscriptions.

And I'm still owed thousands (or should I now say tens of thousands) of points from them...
  • iPOINTS have been very sneaky with their revamp (though they are perfectly entitled to change whatever they want at the drop of a hat [it's all in the small print when you join up], it would be nice to think they might consult their membership first though). Like most things that change, it's to the detriment of the people who earn iPoints their revenue. I just had a cursory look at a few things and there mini polls are now worth half what they used to be. Also they have used an old tactic of multiplying everything by ten (points earned and the rewards you can get for them) to baffle and confuse.

What's happened to them? They are a shadow of their former self. Maybe it's the plan of a lot of these internet reward sites - Get the membership up and then devalue everything. I've seen it happen with others to lesser degrees to (Mutual Points to name but one).

I think people should vote with their feet and cash-out on this site. If you take the time to work it out you actually have to work pretty damn hard to earn much at all with iPOINTS, better off in a sweatshop.

Sorry I'm wrong - High Street vouchers are there (couldn't see them when I looked earlier) at 8300 points for a £30 voucher. No sign of Amazon Vouchers though...

If only there was a way to get a concerted effort by a significant number of ipoints members. Then we could all redeem to whatever rewards we are nearest and contact ipoints to let them know that we do not appreciate being taken advantage of and will no longer participtate until our efforts were rewarded fairly.
I had enough for a £15 amazon voucher but was saving for a £30 voucher. Now that they have been removed I don't care what I redeem and would be ready for such a protest should one get started somehow.

Leisure vouchers were 210 for a £5 voucher or 420 for a £10 voucher, equating to 2100 and 4200 ipoints respectively. They are now 6020 ipoints for a £10 voucher. That's a HUGE hike. Do they think we are stupid or something??

Resign from ipoints and defect to Pigsback, that's what I say................
  • Am I right thinking you can't order a £10 or £20 voucher from Sendit after the revamp - only £30 or above?
