Just got off the phone with a young lady from Grattan customer services.

They are not honouring the £99 phone price due to the printing error. She didn't go down without a fight and my god, I wouldn't back down. I argued so badly with her that I actually feel bad because she was so nice.

She's offered my an "accessory pack" worth £80 (yeah, right) thrown in - 1 for all 3 of my phones, but I will have to pay £149.99 (but still with my 20% discount).

She also told me that people who had received the phones and paid would be chased up also.

As Catherine Tate would say: What a f*ckin liberty!

    I dont want that call....

If they will call me I will not take the offer politely.

As its not the person on the phone's fault. There was a printing error and they gave many people phone for cheap. If I dont get it its not her/his fault.
Also he/she can not offer the deal again in anyway.

I will suspect yes. But do ask them.
You can buy this one on O2 for same price. Not sure about Acc pack.

Also if you wait for few days, I think people who got it for eBay will list it for 150 or lower.

Eek, I've not been able to pay for mine yet - all I've had is the packing slip with no instruction on how to pay. Can they demand more money from me than this states??
If I hadn't seen such riches, I could live with being poor...

Do you have any proof that the phone was offered to you at the lower price?

coz i can't see how they can up the price once you have received the phone and activated it....(seeing as they don't accept returns on activated phones..I think!)
  • and what happens if people have already started using their phones and then Grattans call asking for more money? I have just tried to pay off my balance on line but not sure whether it will go through or not.
I would not be happy to pay extra so would be returning a used phone......
