Grattan catalogue printing error - E900 pink bargain!!!

Received a similar letter (dated 23/11/06) yesterday:

Due to their popularity our stocks of the goods you requested are temporarily exhausted. However further supplies are expected within the number of days shown below.

I am holding your order and will ensure that it receives priority attention as items become available.

A couple of things make me doubt whether the order will still be delivered:
the letter is dated the same day I ordered the phone, before other peoples orders were removed;
the further supplies are expected in 0 days which if the date of the letter is correct then they should already have stock;
the letter has taken 2 weeks to reach me - doubtful even in the Xmas post.

Still, I'll keep hoping it turns up for Xmas, if not then I'll look for a bargain phone in the Jan sales.

I got a letter from Freemans today but different to taht.


It said because of misprice they couldnt honour the order and if I wanted to reorder the 149.99 deal i had to call them

My last and only communication with Grattan was my order print showing stock had been reserved (day after this post went up on MSE). I have had no other communication from them since, no calls or letters or even a catalogue (I asked to pay for the phone over 20 weeks so as far as I am concerned I am a customer). If I find out they have done a credit check on me I will not be happy!

Not a good way to treat a new customer!

I had a letter from Gratten saying that my new account had not been accepted as I was refused credit! Outrageous! I've never been refused credit! Anyone else had this letter? I assumed it was a 'fob-off' letter, but have read some people have had a letter saying they wont be honouring the deal anymore, and if this has affected my credit score i'm gonna go absolutely :mad:

I just had this email from Grattan after getting a letter from them saying they would send them once stock was in. it said delay 0 days ???? so i emailed asking when i would receive them

i'm gutted. they are on the grattan website for 149.99 but when you go to checkout it says they cannot be ordered online. Very confusing

just rang them to see where my phone was and told they had cancelled my order without telling me, this is after agreeing to pay full price for the phone, just annoyed they had not told me they had cancelled my order as i need a new phone as my puppy ate my nokia!

what they told you is rubbish.

Although i am a bit confused now, My Phone turned up this morning....WITH an accessory kit (which is !!!!!!) The bluetooth headset doesn't match the phone (Phone is more of a red than pink and the headset is Baby Pink )
The Case is a Pouch not a case which together with the charm and car carger could be purchased from a market for less than £10

Called Grattan cust servs and was advised delivery is expected 15th Dec.

I ordered mine on the 23rd, got a cancelation letter 3 days ago,saying due to printing error(ordered it online so how it could be due to a printing error I do not know) it was no longer available at the price,but I could have the £149 deal, today I get a letter saying the phone is out of stock but my order is a priority and it will be sent out as soon as they get some more,(tried to check order online but it would not let me register)so I phoned them (kept on hold for 15 mins) he said it has not been cancelled,then he said payment was refused by my credit card company(no way is that true),then he said it was due to the phone being discontinued so they won't be getting anymore from the supplier,so no phone here , but..................
