    Just thought I would mention this but Freemans and Grattan (please spell it correctly, no plurals) are the same company. Otto Uk.

  • I placed an order with Freemans for one of these last week but as yet have not heard a thing. Received a confirmation email, but that's all so far.

    From memory the last time I ordered from Grattan they couldn't tell me anything about the order when I called, even though it had been placed due to my account not being on their system. I find it amazing how you can call a company and know more about your order than they do.
  • order has been cancelled. However no call or means of contact to tell me or offer me another product, just checked my order status on freemans site and that says so :(

    Unfortunatly , we have been unable to obtain the anticipated stocks of this item from our suppliers .

    We regret any disappointment this causes . "

    Regardless of this great offer (thank OP, you did a great job and well done for posting!), I don't think Grattans customer service is much good in view of my contact with them. I've had no confirmation email from them, only my screen print of my order. When I telephoned I was told the order had been received and my phone would be sent out on the 1st December (but reading other posts surely this won't happen now). I asked for my customer number so I could track online and I was told they would not give it to me but they would send it in the post and I've still not had it! No catalogue either.

    I hope other people have better luck than me!

  • Been a customer of theirs for too years, phones are now showing as cancelled. Sent them an email stating if they are unable to send the items then I want them to cancel my credit account with them as well. The phones are just the icing on the cake for me with freemans, everything i've ordered takes ages to come and i've had stuff not turn up but got charged. They are a shower!.

    Not heard nothing back yet.

    Did they charge anyone's cards? If they did then all English customers would be able to get their money refunded.

    I don't think there has been a Scots test case on this subject, but would think that Scots customers may have some luck, even if the money wasn't yet debited from their card accounts.
