My parents allow my just turned 15 yr old sister and her bf to be alone in her bedroom. Ultimately if you're worried about them being intimate then not allowing them in the bedroom isn't going to stop that. If they really want to do something then they will do it, just not when you're around.
I remember when I was 16 and I stayed over at my BF's house. We weren't allowed to sleep in the same room, so we just did it and then went to separate rooms after. Teenagers will be inventive when they want to do something!0 -
Not at 13 but def at 17. My bf was allowed to stay over from when I was 16 and I'll prob do the same with ds/dd when the time comesPeople seem not to see that their opinion of the world is also a confession of character.

ds1 and ds2 (16 / 17) both bring boyfriends back and i allow them to stay over but not on school nights. I invariably meet them for the first time as they wander into the kitchen in the morning. Usually just in their pants. Rarely see them again although ds2 seems to be getting serious about one. My parents never allowed me to bring anyone home and resented it. I don't want to be resented like that.

My Mum let my (ex) bf in my room when I was 16/17 but not to sleep. To be honest if we weren't in my room we would have found somewhere else to go... I think you are old enough at that age to make your own decisions.0

My older sister was allowed, but she was dating the Mayors son and picked her up in the official Rolls Royce so mum probably hoped things would develop! lots of giggling and T-Rex music came from behind the shut door. I used to spend a lot of curious time with my ear against the wall from my room. I suppose things have changed over last 40 years!0

yes because my kids have to share a room and the oldest wouldn't have dared get up to anything she shouldn't have when she was younger because there was always the threat of her little brother barging in lol
Now she's almost 18 and is in serious relationship with her bf of 17 months they can get up to whatever they like, they take over the sitting room on an air bed at night.0 -
My parents wouldn't have allowed me to have boyfriends stay in my room, however it was never an issue as I didn't have a serious boyfriend until I was 23!!! The rules changed for my younger brother, as I think mum realised he was sleeping with his then girlfriend and would continue to, so she would rather it was safely at home than in a park!!! Both were well over 16.
At one point my brother had a much younger girlfriend (he was 18, she 14) and he never, ever slept with her. They used to come to my flat quite a lot and I would disappear to cook or do the washing up leaving them sitting/cuddling on the sofa. I don't think they ever realised that I could (and did) keep an eye on them in the big mirror on my lounge wall!;) They behaved themselves, so I was more than happy for them to continue to come round.0 -

Huge difference between 13 and 17.
They could be married and/or legally having sex at 16.
I do leave them alone but they never know when I am going to pop in and see that they are okay, so that keeps them on their toes0
