I have to pay £1 extra postage on a letter under stamped by 10p

Options
Is there no customer service anymore? Had a card from post office today, they have my sons birthday card , apparently it was short on postage stamp by 10p , so i am required to go to sorting office with £01.10p to collect otherwise they will return to sender? how can they do this with out a name and address ? IS THIS NOT THEFT ?

I am guessing maybe this is a 3 D card ( slightly thicker than average ) WHY DONT THEY PUT A PERSPEX PIECE OF PLASTIC ON POST BOXES SO POSTERS ARE AWARE OF COSTS ? / OR IN CARD SHOPS SO WHEN U BUY A CARD YOU R AWARE OF POSTAGE COSTS at the time :D They must be making soo much money out of this. It happens to me alot they stole/binned my Husbands birthday card :(

Most cards bought in this country do state on the back if large letter postage is payable.

Maybe the sender did not notice that.
But you won't know unless you pay the £1.10, will you?

If there is no return address, they will throw it away.

did they steal your control over the caps key as well?
its now been over 5 years since the pricing structure changed
if people sending you items are incapable of putting correct postage on an item, why should RM do it for less?
you have the option to pay and collect or not.
if theres no return address then it will be destroyed.
what would you answer to underpaid items be?

now as for making "soo" much money from this.
how do you work that out?
do you know how much more work is generated by the revenue protection side of the business?
would you prefer they simply destroyed any item without proper postage?

where would you fit these "pieces of perspex" on all the post boxes?

And shall we put the postage charges up further to, not only pay for these bits of perspex, but for bigger post boxes so there is room on them for this bit of plastic? :D;) :rotfl:

No point, the local scallywags will probably just burn it so its impossible to read whats behind the now brown perspex covers! :rotfl:

Written in a post where you've managed no capital letters at all.

    Evening all.

I've separated the posts into two threads to avoid any confusion.

Hopefully it can stay on topic now.

Which is just as well considering how many errors you seem to make on your posts.
No capital letters, lack of full stops, lack of apostrophes, and yet you still feel the need to comment on the mistakes of others.
