I did try to politely point out to Lil_Me that his scenario was different to striders, but he got the !!!!.
My comment to you pointed out that my scenario was as different to the OPs as the roundabout scenario i.e completely different! But for some reason you chose to challenge my contribution to the thread, but not verybigchris.
At no point did I say that my situation was identical to the OPs, merely another story about other drivers who feel aggreived when you don't bend over backwards to let them do whatever they want.
Also, last time I checked I was a she but things may have changed since this morning.

Yeah, me too.... And that's how I always treat them too.
However I assume it's because they're so small that heavy volume of traffic can totally over run them and make movement impossible... I've no idea though, it kinda makes sense but it's not practical.“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”

Indeed, it should be treated the same way as any other roundabout. That means not cutting across it, as in what happened to me last night. Some woman cut across a mini-roundabout, so much so, that she actually ended up on the wrong side of it and had the audacity to have a go at me, for using the roundabout as a roundabout. :eek:The greater danger, for most of us, lies not in setting our aim too high and falling short; but in setting our aim too low and achieving our mark0 -

It looks like a " Big " and " Lil " thing to me, best ignore him before he really starts to insult you.
Oh wait, he already has.0 -
i treat roundabouts the same as i would coming to a JUNCTION, LOOK RIGHT as thats the most closest flow of traffic!! and was tought you always give way to your right at a roundabout, use left lanes for left and straight on unless road or signs stipulate otherwise use your indicators after the first exit if your heading straight on or indicate left for first exit actaully turning left and right for actually going right or right back around.
people somtime get confused, like indicating left before first exit passing first exit to go straght on, or indicating right pass first exit then go straight on, or indicate right pass first exit then indicate left to go stright on using right hand land effectivly cue jumping and or cutting everyone up.
dual carriage ways are slightly different in that you must stay commited to you lane not lane hop, i have used the right hand lane on dual carriage way to go stright ahead if that the lane im committed to, if theres a cue of traffic or a merge left ill stay in left not right then come off and have to push in cue of traffic to my left, common sense tells you that
1. you could cause traffic to slow down whilst you wait for a gap to open up and potentially cause and accident behind you,
2. cue jumping and people will close up any gap and leave you hanging in the road to expose you as the fools they are to embarress cue jumpers.0 -

There are several near to where I live which are too small to go around in anything bigger than a 15 year old Fiesta. Needs must I guess though......
There are also 2 which are stupidly and unnecessarily placed on roads which always tail back with traffic during rush hour. We later learned that a local councillor lives in those streets..... Twisting council budgets just to help them get out of their street in the morning!!!
We just drive over these on principle as if they weren't there
Due to traffic lights stopping traffic on the main road, my street needs a "keep clear" box like all the £1'000'000+ homes that line my route to work have, but will we ever get one?
Everyone just sits on top of these boxes, just on principle

So you bend the rules when it suits you, but when anybody else does it, you post a rant on a forum about it.:rotfl:0 -

A good driver admits they're not perfect, but strives to do the best they can and to improve through self education.“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”
