My husband is on his second day of ignoring me because he had to make his own tea yesterday.
He doesn't normally but me and the kids had pancakes which obv don't keep and by the time he got home from playing football at 8pm I was busy working. I'd saved him some batter in the fridge and ther were sweet and savoury fillings but it wasn't good enough apparently.
He ignored me all last night and is carrying it on this evening. I'm so frustrated I could scream. Last week he went into a massive mood for no apparent reason. Am not sure how much more of this I can take.

I could honestly not live with someone like that. Sorry I've no advice - hope you get it sorted.******** Never be a spectator of unfairness or stupidity *******"Always be calm and polite, and have the materials to make a bomb"0

So laugh at him and tell him to grow up or he'll be living alone and have to do his own dinner every night. It might not shorten his sulk but it would make it bearable.. keep reminding him not to trip over his doorstep lip!
And pancakes supposedly keep really well..
I'd have moaned about not having food for dinner.. after a day at work or doing nothing or even out with my friends doing something I enjoy, the last thing I'd want is slime (they are of the same texture as slugs!).. I'd have gone for a takeaway!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
I'd have it out with him. Start with "do you have a problem" and go from there, it will clear the air and if he keeps up the rubbish tell him he can sort his own teas from now on.0

Just ignore him too, and wait for him to spit his dummy out.0

bloomin eck, it's like having an extra child. ignore him and let him get his own tea for however long it takes. i couldn't live with someone as petty as that'We're not here for a long time, we're here for a good time0

For the record pancakes keep really well.....but my temper wouldn't if I had to live with such a spoilt man.
Practically I'd suggest having meals in the freezer or fridge suitable for reheating after football but tbh I'm surprised by such a reaction and feel that based on his temper I'd be suggesting he fed himself for a few days..perhaps he could cook for you and the kids tomorrow.

oh dear..god forbid he should make himself something! after playing football as well! sorry..didnt mean that horribly, meant to be kinda funny
.
in all seriousness......whats it gonna be next?
tell him to get a grip! My husband (about to be ex) came home and whinged and moaned about me putting the knives, forks and spoons in the wrong order! that is when I decided I had had enough...obviously not just because of that (loads of other things).
I'm sure your OH is more than capable of making something to eat..... what happens if you are not there.?0 -
I just really can't bear these sulks. It drives me crazy. All because he had to make his own tea. It wasn't like I was sat watching tv. I was working and prior to that I had tidied the house and sorted the kids out for bed.MANAGED TO CLEAR A 3K OVERDRAFT IN ONE FRUGAL, SUPER CHARGED MONEY EARNING MONTH!:j

I second that, my husband can locate the kitchen, operate the microwave and at a push shove something ready made into the oven but that's it.
As to the sulking, we have both sulked for England on occasions but never because of petty things like that - could you humour him out of it by pointing out how childish he's being ?Keep calm and carry on0 -
Is this usual behaviour for him, or something he's doing recently? Could there be something happening to him thats making him tetchy/unreasonable?0
