Interesting Dato.
Out of interest, when did you apply and when did you get the email?
I applied yesterday afternoon and got a slightly different email this morning (saying a decision might take a couple of days - guess they might be checking bank history etc.).
Applied online Friday afternoon and the email came evening of that day. I have an M&S Chargecard though and an ISA with them so I suppose I'm already in their records.0 -

I applied last Sunday afternoon.
Had an email on the Monday saying basically "it will take a while but we'll be back to you."
Hadn't heard anything today so called and was told that my application hadn't been progressed yet. The lady said she would try speaking to the assessor to try and get it sorted there and then. Came back on the line to say it was in a queue and I should hear in 5 days.
About an hour later I got an email saying the application had been approved and paperwork was being dispatched. No word on credit limit though until the card arrives (as others have said too).
So in summary, if you don't hear anything, give 'em a call.

I got one about 3 weeks ago - mine only has 0% for 9 months. CL of £4000 but I'm currently a SAHM so I guess they would give me a lower one than many. I made a mistake and set it up to take the full payment by DD each month so need to phone and see if they will change it to the minimum payment. The acceptance email came through the day after application but don't think the credit limit info was sent until much later (in the paperwork).0

I've decided not to go for one at the moment as I will be away from home for a couple of weeks, so no point in applying because I won't be around to sign off anything if I get accepted.
When I get back if the offer is still on, I will probably apply for one. If I don't get it I'll use it as an indication that I definately need to ditch a couple of the cards I'm not using to free up some credit available to income ratio.0 -
got one the other day with £4000 limit.:D0

I'm could do with my limit being nearer £7k. I've reduced my limits on my two other cards (that I hardly use) in the hope this may help.
Fingers crossed.Temrael

Mine and husband's limits were only £4.5k so not massive ones here. Still worth having though, every bit of 0% adds up

OH got £4,500 CL. Spent £1600 on a holiday last night. Going to request an increase at the beginning of September to pay DD's tuition fees.
Just checked and have been told that using this card to buy foreign currency in M&S counts as a purchase. Will be using this card to buy Euros.0 -
I've had my M&S credit card 3 years, so this may not be applicable now, but with M&S I got the lowest limit of any of the cards I've ever had (even lower than my first card - Barclaycard Initial), and there's been about 8 cards in the last 5 years.
But, it's also the only card I've kept open at the end of the intro period, because I really like the M&S vouchers - free lunch from M&S once per month!
I am in the same boat but exact opposite in terms of credit - M&S gave me THE highest limit of all my cards. £5.5k at the time, now uped to £6.6k. Need to call them to lower it actually as now my income/available limit ratio is very high.
I also love the vouchers. I get generally about £20 every quarter.. sometimes more, sometimes less, depending on spend obviously. I could get more if I put EVERYTHING on it, but I also use Tesco one for Tesco points..0
