If I use the card to buy foreign currency at M&S will that be 0% for 15 months? Or should I do as the poster above and buy travellers cheques?0
-
Travellers cheques purchased from M&S are categorised as a '0%' purchase on the M&S card. I don't have the terms and conditions to hand, but I expect that currency will constitute a cash advance and so the usual (probably quite steep) interest rates will apply.I came, I saw, I saved.

This is not the case, currency and travellers cheques are both treated as purchases as long as they are purchased from M&S.0 -
Have applied for card, expected an instant decision, but didn't get one. Now received a holding email stating that I will be receiving a decision by post "shortly"
Would be nice to get one - have recently cancelled 3 cards (2 store, 1 credit) which are no longer used, but won't be the end of the world if I don't get it0 -

just phoned hsbc, they told me if you pay the TC's into your account there is no charge. i think there's only a charge is you want the cash there and then?0 -
Did you make it perfectly clear that the TCs were not purchased from HSBC? Because according to your 'fees and charges' document (and anecdotal information on this board) they're only done fee-free if purchased from HSBC...just phoned hsbc, they told me if you pay the TC's into your account there is no charge.

Why do you "think" that?i think there's only a charge is you want the cash there and then?0 -
Does anyone know if eBay purchases paid via paypal count as cash withdrawals or purchases?0

Do you still have to pay the balance off with monthly payments within the 15 month period ?
or can you just pay the whole balance off before the end of the 15 month period?0
