Just picked my mousemat which is very good
and also 2 mugs from my 1st order which have been re-printed and I'm afraid to say they are as bad as the first 2 :wall:
Dreading receiving the other 7 mugs which are being re-printed.. are they going to be the same because they are for xmas presents:mad:
I think Asda are going to have to be informed about this as although the company are trying to resolve the problems but the quality is appalling, especially on the mugs and they havent even made the effort to retify it, all they have done is re-print them.0 -
Been following this with interest; I placed orders for photo gifts as well as photo prints and cards. I was happy with the prints and cards.
I have received one mug ordered from a single design (a computer graphic not a photo) and that is OK. One set of mugs was fine (4 of those with the same photo - white background probably avoided the fading effect at the edge). The other 10 that I ordered for charity fundraising were unacceptable - wonky and faded at one edge.
The mousemats were too dark and the 10 charity mats to match the mugs had uneven white strips down the sides. The other 4 (white background) had been printed on much narrower mats and cut off the sides of the photo!
I phoned and spoke to Dominic Murdoch who listened carefully and told me to returrn ALL photo gifts (good or bad) and that he would ensure a speedy response so that my fundraising could go ahead as planned. I was told to enclose a letter explaining the problem and stating that I wanted my postage refunded (I am emailing a photocopy of the postage receipt).
It cost me £11.70 to return 14 mugs and mousemats using the cheapest insured method - Standard Parcels. I emailed also with my concerns that they would not begin reprinting my order until they had received this parcel - I cannot use the charity items after Christmas! I have had no reply to this yet.
At £1.50 per item this seemed like a real opportunity for me to order promotional items in small quantities at a very decent price. But you have to view the items' value at their regular price as well - and the quality is not acceptable. It was also a miracle that none of my mugs were broken in transit as they had just a few scraps of bubble wrap pushed into the corners of the box and a few bits of brown card separating the mugs.
It does appear that the person or persons in charge of printing these gift items needs more training and/or supervision. There should also be quality control.
Asda has gained little through this free offer - if it was a loss leader to encourage more orders and future orders it has seriously backfired on the company and has done little for its reputation.
I believe in giving feedback, positive or negative, so I will report back on the outcome - in either receiving an acceptable replacement order within the timeframe I have given the company - or a refund as I have requested if they cannot meet this.0 -
does anyone have an email address for Adsa please? I'm really hacked off with the photo lot so want to take it up with Asda themselves. All I can find on the website is an online contact form which is no good as I want to forward to them the email I got from the photo lot :mad:0

I would't bother, ASDA's customer 'service' is awful .I tried calling them & was told they wouldn't talk about "photo lab orders" and they transferred my call. A few mins on hold and the line went dead. Tried again and got the same, they have never been good at service but to say I am appualed is an understatement  If I don't get a refund by this time next week I'll let my card company deal with it.:j :j0 -
just wanted to say thanks to bernesemad I received my mousemats today and they are brill they will make a great pressie, i am really happy.
the mugs i got last week were not so good but are just about acceptable.
For the money i paid I am happy with the number of xmas pressies i have to give friends & family :beer:0 -
I placed one order for mugs, and that was fulfilled the other day. Today we received another delivery, it included duplicates of 9 mugs I've already received, plus another 4 of I don't know who!
As it's likely they belong to a fellow MSEer, do you recognise these pics?

As an aside, if anyone out there has got the pic of my wife's cleavage I bought myself as a Christmas present, please send it this way, I could do with a spare.
In terms of a bargain, I can't complain - We've had 21 mugs now for under £20. In terms of faith in the company I'm less sure. I'd be bloomin' furious if pics of my kids were sent to the wrong recipient!::Quidco.com - £1100 in 11 months. Kerr-ching! ::0
