I complained about some of the quality of my mugs and received a package today with a few mugs and mouse mats in..My mouse mats were ok in my original order and I think they resent some with some mugs as a sorry or something..The funny thing is though the mouse mats are terrible...My first order was ok...These are shredded at the sides and are very dark.I can't moan though as I wasn't expecting anything from them....so it must be a goodwill gesture as I said I wouldn't use their services again..I can't even give the mouse mats to anyone they are terrible0

I ordered 7 mugs and 9 mousemats; just got an e-mail from my father saying "Package from Asda containing 36 stoneware mugs arrived this morning". Either they're feeling very generous (what's the odds, eh?) or I've got someone else's mugs. I'll keep you posted once we find out what's in there!0

By the way, reading some of the threads here; I know we're only talking pence, but having to ring an 0870 number to claim your statutory rights should only be acceptable if you can recover the cost of the call. I'm really not up to speed on how "real time" phone bills are these days, although I know you can consult a BT bill online.
If you've spent time on their 0870 number; and you're sending kit back; I'd seriously include a printout of the call cost, and ask them to pay that as well as the postage. They may not do it; and it's such a small amount (individually) that you'd never bother to see them in court over it; but it's a revenue stream to the company; and if they continue to make a profit out of complaints (albeit not enough to cover their costs, but a partial recovery) then they'll never get rid of it.0 -
Has anyone who returned their mugs received their replacement ones yet?
I returned 3 of my 6 last week and they guaranteed that they would be with me by Christmas as the last date for ordering picture gifts was 13 December. Not sure they will still be saying that when they are swamped with returns!2019 Prize Total - £0/0 Prizes 2018 Prize Total - £100/1 Prize 2017 Prize Total - £250/2 Prizes

I ordered 21 mugs, most of them were perfect so overall I was very happy with the order. Then this week, I got another 14 mugs (fortunately of my kids). Phone up Asda photo customer services and they apologised and said we can keep them. HURRAH. Only problem is what do you do with an extra 7 mugs of the same photo...it is a cute photo though.
Good luck to everyone that you get the right order

Anyone seen any other offers for peronalised mugs around.
I ordered some of these when the offer were on. OK for £1.50 but I'd have been disappointed to pay the full price for them.0 -
Aha! The package said 36 mugs on the outside, but inside were my 7 mugs and 9 mousemats - all in perfect order, and very nice too. I was getting a bit worried about some of the earlier posts, but they've come out pretty much as I'd have hoped. Thanks OP!0

Finally I have received an email telling me that my refund has been requested and should be back on my CC in 10 days.
After my initial call on the 0870 number I did some research. When I sent back my parcel the PO checked the address and when they said that the address was for 'Standard Photographic', I Googled that company and discovered that it is Standard Photographic who are the company behind the processing - and if you check them out you will see that they work for several other large organisations as well as Asda!
I used their phone number (below) to make calls from then on:

It has been an ordeal and I am left with none of my photo gifts, even the fairly decent ones - as I was told to return them all.
My tip is to always ask the name of the person you are speaking to and then to email them with a summary of what they have said to you on the phone.
In answer to another poster, I can thoroughly recommend the work of Kodak EasyShare Gallery
Before the Asda offer I had already ordered a photo mug from Kodak - more expensive but much better quality mug and photo finishing. I have since ordered (through an email offer) small photo books with 20% discount - am awaiting their arrival and will post feedback once I have seen them.0 -

I wonder if they are like this for normal paying customers?0 -

My 3 replacement mugs came today. They are much better than the ones I returned, so I now have 6 great Xmas presents.
I wonder how long it will take for them to replace to £6 postage it cost me to return them?! Apparently, the money will be put back on the card I paid for them one. Lets wait and see!2019 Prize Total - £0/0 Prizes 2018 Prize Total - £100/1 Prize 2017 Prize Total - £250/2 Prizes
