Fogg1969 wrote:I placed one order for mugs, and that was fulfilled the other day. Today we received another delivery, it included duplicates of 9 mugs I've already received, plus another 4 of I don't know who!
As it's likely they belong to a fellow MSEer, do you recognise these pics?
ASO090214_00003_1_1.jpg
Smiley pretty blonde girl (apx 2) with shape sorter

Same girl I think, eating in front of a tent, or something canvas
ASO09021400_00004_1_1.jpg
Two long haired blonde girls, about 7 or 8
ASO09021400_00001_1_1.jpg
Long haired blonde girl in long purple dress, and lad in white tee shirt on the right, they're stood in front of vertical blinded French windows with a toddler between them.
As an aside, if anyone out there has got the pic of my wife's cleavage I bought myself as a Christmas present, please send it this way, I could do with a spare.
In terms of a bargain, I can't complain - We've had 21 mugs now for under £20. In terms of faith in the company I'm less sure. I'd be bloomin' furious if pics of my kids were sent to the wrong recipient!0 -
Thats all my kids (the pretty girl is a little curly haired boy!... dont worry, his hair was a bit too long and curly...hes trying to eat a worm in front of my garden table(it has a cover on it) and hes holding a ball with red ladybirds on it. The others are of my other 2 kids and a niece & my daughetr. Are these all mugs or are they mousemats?? as the i am waiting for mousemat of toddler with the ball)
Really appreciate you mentioning this as i sent one (the 2 girls) back to be put right as it was wonky but they sent the wrong one back!
Its a long shot but you dont live anywhere near brighton in west sussex do you?0 -
Well, my mugs arrived yesterday - 3 lots of 7. The packaging was absolutely fine - each mug was individually boxed and each set of 7 were in a carton - just the right number of mugs for the carton so they weren't jiggling around and there was some bubblewrap in there too. They appear to have been sent by air as they have tickets on them that say "via east midlands apt & edinburgh apt". The mugs are intact but sadly the quality is at best poor and at worst unacceptable. All of them are squint to some extent, but I've decided to accept the ones that are only slightly squint. 1 full set were pretty bad with some small fading down one side of one of the pictures but not terribly noticeable, but 2 of them had chunks of the picture scraped off and I can't accept that. The other 4 that I am rejecting are ridiculously squint. I guess if I had paid full price I would probably reject them all, but they were bought as wee cheap'n'cheerful pressies to give to relatives from my little'uns so I think it will be okay. (Except for my Dad who can't abide things being squint - he's going to hate it, and he'll tell me too!)."There's hard work. And there's not so hard work. I prefer not so hard work. But if you mix not so hard work with hard work it's harder than the not so hard work but not so hard as the hard work."

My mugs arrived yesterday. Out of 25 mugs only 4 were of a decent quality (just). I would be extremely unhappy if I'd paid full price for them though.
Will be discussing this with customer services next week.0 -
The mugs we had done were fine. The ones we thought would be bad - photos from the mobile -were the best. The ones we thought would be the best turned out the worst !! Still fine though.0

Update on my earlier post...
I gave up with the phone and sent an email describing problems and offering to send photos of the mugs by email.
email response received from Dean... quite nice, actually apologised for all the phone problems... asked me to send mugs back.
I replied asking him to confirm asda would cover cost of postage (as likely to be hefty), and that mugs will be destroyed - don't want my family photos turning up in the staffroom or elsewhere. Attached photos of mugs anyway.
Dean confirmed will refund postage if note to that effect is inside the box... said agreed with errors as stated after seeing photos... no mention of destroying mugs. I printed out our email conversation and enclosed. Postage for 9 mugs was £8.70... and I only paid £15 in total in the first place?! Lunacy.
P.S. in response to the person who recently suggested that people ring the customer services numbers to be found on SayNoTo0870, they won't take or transfer your calls to the right places, so don't waste your time. (I thought I and several others had already pointed that out!)0 -
Mandles,
Incredible - Yes there's ladybirds on that ball, so they're definitely your mugs I've been sent.
I don't live anywhere near Brighton, but I'm happy to forward your mugs on to you. If you'd like to PM me your address I'll get them sent ASAP.
I'm really sorry for getting the gender of your son wrong. If I'd realised that was a worm I'd have known it was a boy. How much more boyish can you get?
Perhaps you can call Asda to enquire exactly why pics of your family have found their way to rural Cambridgeshire!::Quidco.com - £1100 in 11 months. Kerr-ching! ::0 -
