Not really, you just slept through what would probably have been a frustrating waste of time. I only wish I had done the same.:(

Same here. On my day off too. Wish I had got some well deserved sleep instead. None of the dates I looked at were even £19.00 never mind £9.

I've just found out AFTER booking, that the normally free car parking expected is in many cases now chargeable.

Travelodge will not provide details of the costs before booking in most cases.

As some of the car parks are NCP run, then this could be very expensive! Be warned!

I made a booking and received no confirmation email and it didn't appear on 'my travelodge'. You can't talk to anybody and are told to go online. The online customer services says if you receive no email and cannot view/amend the booking then it isn't booked. I have tried again and have now received two email confirmations but nothing still on 'my travelodge'.
If it is non-refundable, that means I may get charged twice for their teething problems.
Surely it is illegal to not refund anyway.
Wish I had gone to the £55 Premier Inn now instead of £10 travelodge for all the hassle.

Its annoying, they say £10 but when you click on it to book its £19!!
Im quite flexible at the mo since being made redundant but also limited by schools and finances! Has anyone actually found any at £10 this morning?

These used to be great deals with lots of availability, but its all a bit 'Emperors New Clothes' now. Lots of fanfare but in reality not much there. Certain TL's which used to be in the Savers list now never have cheap rooms. Well done if you managed to get something. We prefer Premier Inn now anyway, but good luck if you are looking.

No they never ask you anything. I have even had 2 keys when I have the room booked for one person. It depends on what floor you are on, but in a lot of the travelodges you don't even go through the reception to get to rooms and tbh the staff are never that interested in anything. Basically you have paid for the room and it's up to you who you have in it within reason obv.

If you don't book it soon, you'll regret it when the price goes up;)

I recently booked a room and arrived with my klids in tow, they said it was for one, i said no, 3!! they knew i had booked a family room (they all turned out to be family rooms) but i just needed to give names and all was okay!
    Dont worry!!!

    I've been Money Tipped!
We decided to give this one a miss too. Used to book a few dates around UK for kids school hols, but the price of petrol factored in this time and now it seems it was the normal frantic rush for not much.

Glad I stayed in bed. Well done to all those who got a room.
Who made hogs and dogs and frogs?
  • I had my cycling route all ready to book, had meticulously manged to find a progrssive 8 night route staying at different travelodges for £19. I was going to book it all this morning. Then I saw the £10 sale and all the hotels and dates i wanted had gone up to full price. It isn't a sale!! They just offset the reduction by making others more expensive. So the 21 day advance £19 rooms almost disappear.

Very disappointed - I was looking forward to that trip too.

Damn Travelodge - I sent Victor Meldrew style complaint but doubt that they read it.

I am very very glad that I booked four nights in Ipswich for June on Sunday just gone. I was booking for my parents and at the time the price was £19 per night. I told them about the sale today but stressed that there was no guarantee that they would get £10 rooms.

I searched for £10 saver rooms today and buying the individual days they need based on the search results from the £10 saver room link, they would have had to pay £118.75.

    HOWEVER!!!!

I did just a general search on the home page for the whole trip and lo and behold the £19 rooms are still there! Yet they weren't showing on the sale search!!! With the largest difference in price for one night being £13.50!!!

So if you want £19 room don't necessarily search on the sale pages!
