Plush Chris, You are hilarious. I just told my husband about your red herrings and he was roaring! Many a time i dump my basket if no goodies turn up.
Has anyone heard of the "meat policy" changing? I asked for rnr on a £39 piece of beefy! hehe. Was told "Aaah, that don't apply to meat duck". Did a Columbo "Oh really?" (go to walk away) then "Just one more thing...What's the wording on the policy again? I'm having a bit of difficulty understanding how it doesn't apply...."
Apparently HQ have told all stores not to give rnrs on meat, and to tell joe punter that they have to check pack price sot SEL. Anyways, still got rnr. THink CS was fed up of my whining. HEHE.

daisy76 wrote:I had an R & R on an out of date sel and got a refund. I think it's because the price on the item has to be the price charged so under Tesco rules you have then been overcharged so get a refund. They did argue a bit over it but just stand your ground if it's something worth raising profile for and phone head office because they should back you up. Others on here don't have any problems with the out of date stuff but I think they are trying anything now not to give you your R & R.
just need to know when the prices change now0 -

Why thankyou! I do try to amuse! (shame some CS staff arent so impressed) they really must have wondered what the hell I was up to as I looked at some really odd items (cake icing, firelighters, lightbulbs, sherry, quorn meals, ladies shoes etc not to mention half of the DVD rack) :rotfl: I had trouble not laughing to myself as I led them round and round in circles! Had the PES6 game actually been on the cardboard stand I would have gone for the R&R but since they obviously saw me get it from the shelf with the other SEL I didnt get it.
Dont think HQ had told the store we were in the other day, two massive slabs of sirloin joints totaling about £60 R&Rd with no trouble!Missing Tesco R&R since Feb '07 :A & now a "Tesco veteran" apparently!0 -
Am I the only one who sees the last few posts a bit messed up ?
ie orainsear & FloFlos posts quoting & discussing DrButlers post before it appears in the thread.0 -
have you ever stopped to think that if you r&r for the sake of it then someday Mr T wil wise up and tell you to sling your hook with the whole policy, then you will have ruined a perfectly good idea for the rest of the world because you feel the need to get anything and everything that is mispriced.
Am i the only person this irritates, fair comment if you needed/wanted the item but it seems quite abundantly clear to me most people don't0 -
Went into local tesco today and got some of the finest cooked meats,on large yellow card it states buy 2 finest cooked or continental meats save £1,anyway i picked up 4 finest cured ham and 2 thin sliced beef,i knew that the offer would not be applied as sels were not yellow and no stickers on items,i went to cs and they checked and got manager, they only allowed to knock £1 per 2 i bought i pointed at if things do not add up poster but cs said that the meats were not included in offer,i said but they are finest cooked meats arnt they, reply was not on offer,i said it does not say any exclusions on yellow card.anyway i took the beef with £1 refund as i did not want to stand and argue on busy day, should i contact head office tomorrow regarding this??0

You're right, Tesco could get rid of this policy at any time if they think it's being abused. So we have to get as many R&Rs done before that happens.0 -

What irritates me is that people think I dont want 7 copies of splinter cell.
But even that doesnt irritate me as much as people posting their thoughts on here instead of the Ethics thread.Missing Tesco R&R since Feb '07 :A & now a "Tesco veteran" apparently!0
