They've got rivers of gold
But the wind goes right through you
It's no place for the old0 -
Oh, I've given up on this £20 off with the phones, nothing much about for me at the moment. Freezers full, annuals coming out me ears. New phone each for me and OH. Pressies for family sorted. Doesn't stop me looking though!0

3 SEL,s
1 for xbox core £190 ish
1 for x box console £259.99
1 large label infront of xbox with game " £279.98 woolworths £259.99 tesco"
no sel mentioning xbox with game
no shelf edge space for label with game
just 3 spaces 3 labels
so I picked the 1 with the game leaving 1 display case on the shelf
This 1 scanned at £279.99
then went to cs for r+r0 -

From the OPs post I would say that the large label was for the console without game and had been put in the wrong place. A risky r&r particularly if you already have a high profile in the store.0 -

This could be considered a 'misleading price indication' as far as trading standards are concerned, but they wouldn't care whether or not you could get an R&R. It's a misleading price instead of an overcharge, and I agree with FloFlo - not certain enough to raise your profile.
You could always tell the store that you intend to persue the misleading price thing with trading standards and see if they want to make a goowill gesture! Especially as they said they'd had the same problem already that day - so the KNEW that the price was misleading and failed to take action.
As for all the no R&Rs blah blah I told the manager of one store that in future I would have stickers made up saying "tesco will overcharge you for this product. check your receipt closely" and plaster them over mispriced items. Or simply make the items known to trading standards with no prior notice to the store. No fuss was made next time I R&Rd0 -
HI just been to my local and found xbox 360 .

just 3 spaces 3 labels

This 1 scanned at £279.99
then went to cs for r+r
THIS IS WHERE THE FUN STARTS
cs said its a different product so no r+r
so move up the chain
Next person said its the wrong label and this label does not relate to that x box so no r+r
I said do I need to speak to head office
she commented you probably have H/O number as you were in here last week and you had a psp
we have already had this problem today and head office said no r+r
So store manager called
he say label could have been put there by a customer so its not our fault
He offered me the xbox I had for £259.99 the sel said this but no way was he giving me r+r
In the end I bottled it and said give me full refund
Other c/s where mumbling to each other then they said something to manager
So in front of other customers and staff I get told
In future if you want to buy anything from this store that is over £50 I am to get a manager before I will be allowed to buy it
so i asked about my weekly shop
He said no only single items over £50
I asked why and was told if it needed r+r then he would not allow it
I again pointed out customer policy and said he would be going against it and I was was told that the customer policy is from head office and he could do nothing about that but I would not be allowed to buy any product without his approval (over £50)
Where do I go from here as this kind of harassment cannot be right0 -

This wasn't a simple r&r and in a store where you have said you have had high r&rs before. You could contact HO and see if they will side with you but its unlikely.
No one should be intimated because they have been overcharged and the Tesco manager should not have behaved in this way. But in a store where you were already known to be fond of the overcharge policy it would seem sensible to stick to clear mispriced sels. You must have been aware that this shelf talker was not for this item and you would have known it was a chancy r&r.0
