Thanks, also saw Gears of War and Tony Hawks at 37 so asumed one of the SELs was incorrect as they are all relatively new.0 -

Tony Hawks was GOTW last week (was priced 37.XX on the poster) - it will probably go up to 39.XX at some point over the next few days. Gears of War was also a GOTW for last week too and this will also probably go up in price as well. Seems that most of the major new games that come out are initially a GOTW and sold at 37.XX.0 -

i didnt comment on other supermarkets. however my comments were correct regarding the article i referred to, which says the following;-
"Christmas shopping could be more expensive this year after evidence emerged that Tesco has increased prices on more than 1,000 items in the last four weeks.
The cost of staples such as bread and meat, has increased sharply, while many winter vegetables and fruit have gone up 20 to 30 per cent, with some doubling.
The rises, which other supermarkets are likely to follow if they haven’t already, could well add more than £10 – around 10 per cent - to the cost of a normal family shop.
And unless the stores change their tactics, it will drive up the cost of Christmas food, making life difficult for millions of families already squeezed by higher household bills and council tax.
The Tesco price rises, revealed in leaked retail industry documents, come against a background of spiralling profits.
Britain’s biggest supermarket is making more than £2billion a year, while Sainsbury’s recently revealed a 60 per cent growth in profits in the first six months of the year to £189million.
might explain the rise in teabags noted by leadhead earlier0 -
