I tried this yesterday and it scanned at 37.XX (same as on the GOTW poster).

Alpen Original 750g is also £2:14 or two for £2. Interesting offer but very nice.

Thanks, also saw Gears of War and Tony Hawks at 37 so asumed one of the SELs was incorrect as they are all relatively new.

Tony Hawks was GOTW last week (was priced 37.XX on the poster) - it will probably go up to 39.XX at some point over the next few days. Gears of War was also a GOTW for last week too and this will also probably go up in price as well. Seems that most of the major new games that come out are initially a GOTW and sold at 37.XX.

i didnt comment on other supermarkets. however my comments were correct regarding the article i referred to, which says the following;-

"Christmas shopping could be more expensive this year after evidence emerged that Tesco has increased prices on more than 1,000 items in the last four weeks.
