....ask a manger everytime u buy anything over £50 ?
why ?
read the posts he/she made earlier, he/she bought an xbox aparently the bundle is scanning at £279.99 and not the £279.9x it is on the sel so he/she went for it but the bundle seems to have been the wrong one but the only other bundle I know was the fifa one and that was with a core.
he/she went for the r+r but failed and we told to get permision before buying anything over £50. my sugestion was to !!!! the manager off be getting him/her to come down to confirm that he/she was allowed to buy an item and repeat the process a few times during the shop. then put everything back or get them refunded.0 -
I have paid by Cheque when doing R&R's ... The Customer service, either offer cash or credit my bank account on which the cheque is from .. and also I have had no trouble using cheques in Tesco, it can be just as quick as a card payment, as they print the cheque.
the only store i have noticed that are stopping cheque payments are WHSHTH

Tesco is a private company, they can and shall do as they please much like every other company.
The manager is technically the represetative of the store, if he chose to impose conditions on your entry i would A ask for written confirmation else they have little to back it up if you do pursuit.
This however would not stop them from removing you if you do enter, if you have been told not to enter you are trespassing, if necessary they can obtain a court order for you to cease and desist.
Re the £50 limit as the represetative of the store there is little you can do from that POV. I would ask HO to confirm this, if you don;t recieve anything then you probably have half a leg to wobble on if challenged in store.
Unfortunatly Joe Bloggs has little to no protection from Corportate America (substitute America for England but Corportate UK sounds a rubbish expression)
I would try another store or, dare i say it, cut your losses and know when enough is enough is enough.0 -

DSG (dixons, currys, PCWorld) no longer take personal cheques. They changed when chip and pin came in.Hug provider for depression thread :grouphug:

Plushchris - please I am still baffled with your story from yesterday. I know you led security on a merry dance around the store and you did not RnR the game you saw mispriced, but.......... even if it was the right price on the shelf sel, the fact it WAS still mispriced in another part of the store meant it was still a definate RnR regardless of the fact that the stock was not in that part of the the display. Am I not getting something or did you miss your opportunity because your mind was on other things?DTD - Doing Tesco Daily - while I still have vouchers!0

Answered on other thread too. But the wording is the main point here. It says in clear "Remove by 26/11", not "Offer expires 26/11". For the consumer this is not an offer expiry, there is no get out clause for them. Anyway, the text is v. small. So you shouldn't be expected to read it.
If they claim that it is an expired offer then you can say that you aren't to know why they would remove a label. Maybe something about you always thought that special offers were yellow labels, yadda yadda ...0
