its the big POS box you know the hexaganol one
  • Just had a great idea!! While wondering how i could check a price of a dvd when the security case was covering the barcode.....
Take a note of the barcode number.....input it into bar code generator (link below)

print at home and scan when ur next in store....not done it but could be a good way around asking to know the price of big items at a till/desk?

I was gonna take the OH to work today and go R&Ring but didnt think it would be worth it and was gonna wait til wednesday, kicking myself now though!

Not so sure, staff have been seen with printed sheets of this site and lists of misprices, maybe they dont employ a specific person to do it, but it does happen.

not exactly working on a national level tho, is it? ;)

paranoia.. gets you in the end... and isnt it a good thing that everyday goods are being put right... as whilst they are doing that, they are less likely it seems to see the big ones :)

    Great idea!

I'd print it out and hold it onto an item if you are gonna try that though, otherwise if you are seen just scanning bits of paper with barcodes on them it will look a bit suspicious, and I know a couple of my local stores do keep an eye on the scanners by CCTV.

Not knocking your idea, I think thats great, didnt know you could print out barcodes like that, just be carefull when scanning stuff.

  • just been to my local to check on xboxes, they only stock the premium

    the standalone premium is £279.97
but the premium + pes6 bundle is £279.97

what will this premium scan at? Im presuming higher than the standalone due to pes6
    £2051.50 since Oct 25 2006 ;) Make mine a Golden £143.46 :D

It's an idea but certain to get unwelcome attention if you are seen scanning bits of paper, or even seen writing down barcodes (in some stores). Maybe best to use one local store to check scan prices, even if it means taking a couple of 'possibles' to the till with your milk and bread then - if necessary -realising you don't have enough money....much less likely to get noticed IMHO.

Then use the info you glean to buy the R&R DVD(s) later at other store(s) if you are close to several, as most of us are.
