Slightly off topic this but had a decent R+R day today
Gordon Ramsey book
Fillet joints
Leffe Beer
Just over £60 in total.
As its children in need day going to donate some of Mr T's money to a worthy cause. If you've also had a good day then why not join me?0 -
I have posted this on the misprice thread as well as its a strange one and one to watch out for and I could have come unstuck!
Today I got an R&R on 2 tins of the Quality Street, but something very strange happened: SEL said 2 for £10 but out of date banner said 2 for £9
On my receipt it said Quality Street 2 @7.78 total=15.56
in the discounts bit at the bottom it says
chocolate tins 2 for £10 -6.56!!!! so although it states 2 for £10 it actually gave me 2 for £9!!! CS did not notice this and refunded me the £10! I only realised after the R&R, so free chockies and full refund plus a quid for my trouble0 -
Is it possible to upgrade an r&r phone for a more expensive one and pay the difference? The receipt has been marked as refund and retain. It is within the 28 days and the box is still sealed.:hello:0

plastic, they sleep because they have no conscience. Or because thay are undead. Possibly.
k66, your statutory rights are not affected, but exchange on non-faulty goods is not a statutory right. I'd say its definitely worth a shot, see if you can find a CS that looks nice, not a dragon, and ask them VERY nicely!0 -

i've not had an r+r for months!!! s'pose they have started to do their job properly!!"

I think it's you Sarah! I've had several recently and passed up on quite a few more(pm'd others about them) when people talk about places not being good for finding overcharges at, it is possible that other people have been there first. Quite a lot of MSe'ers in the area now too. Good luck.
New to this, got my first ever R&Rs at Chorley earlier this week, and used several Asda tokens through the self scan at £4.50 a go, so no they're not doing their job properly!0 -

Chorley don't seem any better or any worse than usual - a couple of DVDs, some meat, biscuits, Sensations, notebooks, Filofaxes, meatballs. Nothing earthshaking, just the small things I actually happened to want!
Perhaps you are visiting at the wrong times?

Went on the hunt today, visited some stores I have never been to, and I think I have found the only Tesco left in the UK that does not have a MSEer regular.
Found soooo much meat, pork loin chops, chicken, steak, but didnt get it because the freezer is still jammed and I found something better...
Saw a tower of Holsten Export 24s by the meat freezers, had an out of date A4 sign "2 for 16" , exp 7/11. And on the other side of said tower was another A4 sign exactly the same but exp 14/11.
Loaded up 8 boxes, then saw an oldie but a goodie... Xbox360 lego star wars SEL 37.97 :rotfl: !!! and Splinter Cell SEL 37.97!!! ( but no stock of SC unfortunately )
So settled for beer and game.
Customer services were soooo nice, lady explained the the beer offer had expired and she apologised that she would have to refund me in full.
As she was so nice I did my good deed for the day and seeing she had only removed one of the signs, I told her about the other one as I would hate to see someone else overcharged!;)

The new self scan tills will accept ASDA vouchers for anything and a lot of them will actually take a lot more off your bill than the voucher says
My wife tried today but one of the vouchers jammed and the till called for assistance, lady opened up and saw the asda vouchers!, had to pretend she put them through by mistake! ( All 15 of them ! )0
