Just wanted to say a general thanks to people who post on this thread. Had my first r&r earlier in the week and my second today, both on meat that had been reduced but the old price was still on the packet so was the price charged (pork loins and steak - yum yum! Maybe I'll go back on Atkins!
)
Used my Tescos credit card for both purchases though... oops! Ah well, not my fault they're rubbish! (the r&r from the other day was still available - probably coz the cs didn't even go to the shelf to look, just believed me, obviously I look like an :A resisted buying that again, but the cs today went with me to the shelf and took away both signs...) They both gave me instant refund with no quibble at all... do they only moan if it's a high value item or if you buy lots of something?
So anyway, thanks guys! I'm trying to pay off my debt before the end of the year and this is really helping!! 6 meals sorted! (there's only me to feed!) :T0 -
I tried to get my first R&R on something small, those Maped erasers.
SEL 97p, but the black display box had 94p on it.
I picked up a few...stocking fillers... and visited the Customer Services desk.
The CS lady scanned one and said no the price is correct. i pushed it a bit further by mentioning that I had seen a lower price.
Off we trotted and when we got to the section, she blamed staff for putting things into a wrong box. The shelf edge lable clearly says 97p and that's that.
Out of the goodness of her heart, she did refund me the 4p difference on each one.
The poster does mention about packaging showing the wrong price.
Should I stand my ground next time, or was I on a loser to start with?Official DFW Nerd Club - Member no: 203.0 -

It depends, you were right, that was an overcharge and as such you were entitles to R&R, however, it's entirely up to you if you should have pushed it as doing so would only raise your profile, and is it worth it for something so smallTitch0 -

good for you Daisy, it is intimidating isnt it, i've been through the same thing recently but you handled it really well, and it's great to have so much invaluable advice from here. i have learned so much and wont be as easily knocked back in future either0 -

Well done Nicxx...............but watch the Tesco Credit Card/Club Card....
Try and use cash and no Club Card....as although you are doing nothing wrong, Tesco Credit Card may spot your regular refunds, and your Club Card is like an identity card, from which any CS can retrieve your name and address details..........
Lots of refunds(and maybe some big ones) could see you with a banning letter further down the line..........Not worth it for a few points.Couponing....."every little hurts"

But all the people can't be all right all the time. .........I think Abraham Lincoln said that.

what do these asda vouchers actually scan at asda....does anyone know?
The asda one for canderal choc scans at 1.24/1.28 at asda too, have not used any others yet.Real men never follow instructions; after all they are just the manufacturer's opinion on how to put something together.0 -
