Am I just a spoilsport...or what
but I can't see the point of this site above
Acoording to it, theres only been 7 misprices in November so far
and who is this CPJackson.............why call it cpjackson.co.uk........does he like to see his name in lights
Why doesn't he update his own site.
Sh*t......cant shrug off this confrontational streak......and Ive just noticed Ive posted the damn thing in the wrong forum.(Copied it from the misprice only thread)
Well 3 posts in a row....must only be talking to myself now.....goodnight(if theres still anyone lurking)
as far as i know this was a little application developed by the owner on his own personal webspace. Personally I think it is to be applauded and not slagged off. The whole point of the application is that USERS update the info.
If everybody used it, it would actually be a lot more useful than having to scroll through page after page of mostly irrelevant bickering as we tend to do here.0 -

This isn't just my opinion.......its a fact
That's really interesting. My business brain would have lots to say about the whole mispricing thing and their solution being to ban people but while it benefits me and other people, I'll shut up!0 -

SEL 97p, but the black display box had 94p on it.
I picked up a few...stocking fillers... and visited the Customer Services desk.
The CS lady scanned one and said no the price is correct. i pushed it a bit further by mentioning that I had seen a lower price.
Off we trotted and when we got to the section, she blamed staff for putting things into a wrong box. The shelf edge lable clearly says 97p and that's that.
Out of the goodness of her heart, she did refund me the 4p difference on each one.
The poster does mention about packaging showing the wrong price.
Should I stand my ground next time, or was I on a loser to start with?
Although I haven't gone for it I have seen exactly the same overprice in a local store - 97p SEL but they were in a box priced 94p - looks like staff in Tesco seem to fall foul of similar mistakes.... You can argue that they have to sell at the lowest price on display (which is the law), and it's their problem if they have left the items in a box with the 'wrong' price on it - I'm sure that most Tesco staff have the ability to read so ultimately it's their own mistake.0 -
Filled the car up with petrol at my local Tecso Express and picked up a reduced Salad for lunch paid and realised that I had been charged the full price. Manager who was on the till would not give my money back as it was a scanning error. Didn't have time to hang about as on my way to work but phoned Customer Services who told me that the Price Promise does not apply to reduced goods cos they are on offer. CS Manager said same thing and I hadn't been charged more than SEL. "No but I had been charged more than the price in the product." Her final response was if I peeled back the reduced price sticker - it would reveal the real price and as far as Tescos were concerned I hadn't been charged more than that!

Disgusting, absolutely no reason not to refund. If I did not get freebies and points I would not shop at Tescos.0 -

Completely agree!
TS will take a very dim view of this, if there are two prices shown (in this case SEL and pack) then they MUST charge the lower price, offer or not.
In my opinion, it should apply even more so if it was reduced for being on or near the use by date!Missing Tesco R&R since Feb '07 :A & now a "Tesco veteran" apparently!0 -
Thanks Guys will do - anyone know where I can download a copy of their Pricing Policy to present to TS.0

These are everywhere, and not just on maped sharpeners, The box is what they were delivered in. It would have been done so with the intention that that was what they were to be charged at. If you can prove that there were others in the same box then that is the price you should pay, clear and simple overcharge. Clear and simple r&r.
From a trading standards point of view, if you display products in a container with a price that is lower than the price you intend to sell them at, then this is a misleading price indication. In many cases the box prices are clearer than the SEL prices, as these are not always placed immediately below the goods for sale.
You may not wish to push this, for such a small item but in future do not accept this as a reason for not getting your full refund. As my sig, seems to be offending some. I have removed it, god bless you mr T.0 -
