Yeah, I couldnt find them in the beer aisle in the store I was in this morning, then found them on an end of aisle display but unfortunately the A4 signs were missing so looks like someone beat me to it! Grrr!

Apologies for misquoting the product, yes its Holsten Export, green box, actually didnt find them in the beer aisles in any store, just on their own by freezers

I think it just shows the power of advertising (in the 80s I suppose) when Holsten and Pils became synonymous - 'most of the sugar turns to alcohol'. I think that another difference is that despite its name, Holsten Export is brewed under licence over here, whereas Holsten Pils is German. The A4 signs were also missing in Exeter Exe Vale today, but I have a store in mind that I'm going to check tomorrow.

Getting really into the r & r thing but had a terrible experience today. Got a vtech alphabet train station that had out of date sel so bought it with a few other bits and then went to cs. She said they had new policy and not refunding out of date sels. Then she calls manager who looks at me like I'm a shoplifter and says theres no way I'm getting a refund as too many people are taking the !!!!! So I asked could I phone ho who confirm I should get a refund and the cs talks to them and still won't refund. Had to call back manager who got really stroppy and said he was getting duty manager to tell me I couldn't have anything. He came down and told them both that I was entitled to a full refund and they had to do whatever ho tells them. This took over an hour with a screaming baby in tow. Nearly walked away at one point but stood my ground. It has definately knocked my confidence a bit but I don't like being intimidated so may make a point of going back there. Thanks for all the advice in here though or I may have never stood my ground so much.

    You're a good lady - fair play.

As for the confidence thing - rubbish - you stood your ground and went through the chain of command when other shoppers would have folded.

    Respect.

If there is a lesson - ask for the store manager as soon as it becomes clear that the other staff are not going to budge.

    Again - well done,

    Duder

PS Hope that the next scream your baby makes is because of the enjoyment of their new toy.....

what do these asda vouchers actually scan at asda....does anyone know?

Look at the numbers under barcode on coupon. Three digits before last one are price it scans at in pence eg off 50p Sinex coupon in Asda magazine - last four digits are 3983 so it actually gives £3.98 off ;)

Just treat them as you would any other coupon, it's just the ones in the latest Asda magazine have mis-priced barcodes so give much more discount than they should. I've only used them through self-scan tills, where you can post them in the slot before the supervisor comes to check them if the till calls for this, others have just presented them to checkout person and some have just taken them no question.

Yes...I posted this earlier tonight but with a lot more description, and it was removed (I presume by the mods)

It looks as though its becoming a breeding site for Trolls.

I'll say no more in case this post gets deleted as well.....but theres a lot of anti-Randrers on there.
    Couponing....."every little hurts"

Half of the people can be part right all of the time, Some of the people can be all right part of the time.
But all the people can't be all right all the time. .........I think Abraham Lincoln said that.
