Pirates of the carribbean, dead mans chest.....sel £11.67 scans £13.73

Damn! I saw loads of these yesterday and THOUGHT it looked a strange price, but I checked the displays around the store as well and they were the same. Has anyone else got these today?

Hmmmm, interesting it was posted by a newbie (bearing in mind some of the recent newbie posts). Ok, benefit of the doubt, I will try it tonight, unless someone else already has and can confirm one way or the other?

sorry not sure if this has been asked before as there are sooooo many tesco discussions!

If the store in question doesnt "do" scanners, I can ask for a price check at the till, however, won't it look very odd if I ask for a price check, then buy the goods and then say "R&R please, this isnt the price displayed!"???

 I tried to take Mr T up on their kind offer of buy 2 save £1 on their Tesco Finest Cooked & Continental(?) meat..... big yellow shelf label stating that, and it didn't mention what was and wasn't included.... so to me that says any that are "Finest"? Doesn't it?

..... got back to work and reported them to consumer direct for misleading POS!! They've already called me and are passing it over to TS!

I think I was the first to post about the Finest ham not being included in the offer, and although the discount didn't come off I didn't claim R&R as I am well known in that store, I am laying low and just doing odd bits of shopping and voucher-use there!

Interestingly, I was looking thru' old receipts yesterday (needed to return something)....and I found one from around 3 weeks ago where the Finest Ham DID cause the discount to come off. So Tesco has pulled the offer from the ham recently but left up the same large yellow (non-specific) SELS.

If TS want to follow this up I can anonymously provide a copy of the relevant part of my receipts (clubcard details & transaction no. covered of course).

It's a small point but one TS may like to look at, bearing in mind how many packs of Finest ham must be on a store's shelf (TS fine x number of packs..!).

    care to share which items????

They are previously mentioned items but have PM'd the details as there were about 15 staff going round the store with a computer list checking the prices, so I assume they are scrutinising this thread and I don't want to raise my profile ;)
I love this board, have "virtually" met so many lovely people, people I am honoured to count as friends.

Smckay - Just get them to check it at the till if you need to because of a lack of scanners, once you have checked the price, carry on shopping and make your judgement from there. Some stores have seperate pharmacy tills, they are good to use for this purpose.
