*flutterby* wrote:I apologise for being so sceptical but where has the 'new' OP got the phrase 'refund and retain' from? Quite possibly from only from reading this thread and possibly the first post of the thread? Then how have they missed the head office contact details???
I don't condone how you have been treated in the store whatsoever and I believe that Tesco should honor thier policy regardless... but I do question your 'purity' in this.
The frustrating thing is I feel that you have not been honest to the thread but still expect help and advice... This can only be given correctly if we know the whole true story... Eg... Are you sure you've never been overcharged before? Are you sure the staff who dealt with you have no reason to suspect you?
I spent quite a while on here reading but hand on my heart i can honestly say i didnt read page one..doh!
I was hoping to find the answers to my questions before i joined the forum and posted my question.
the tescos i used last night was a superstore not like the one we have here which doesnt sell much..I particulary dropped in there to buy a chocolate fountain as i was told they were £15 but came out with two dvd players and dvds for my sons who dont live at home..xmas presents sorted and no arguing as i had bought them both the same thing ...:T I have only been in there a few times in my life and no i have never to my knowledge been overcharged before - the reason i checked my reciept was only because i thought it came to more than i worked it out to be...it soon adds up with packs of crisps being added on by my youngest son who was with me at the time..
it was only when i asked the manager what he classified as bulk buying ie: two loaves of bread that he got attitude with me and at that point shoved me in the back and told me to get out.the rest is what i have already posted....thats more or less the whole story apart from everyone in the store staring at me!
oh and the police said it wasnt anything to do with them - they were there to make sure i left the premises but did say for me to ring head office and complain..:mad:0 -
liquorice wrote:Cheers for the info,
I just spoke to customer services on the phone and they took all the details.
They are apparently going to ring me back.......do they authorise R&R on the phone?
FYI, they were like DVD cases on the shelf, the one had a pic of the game on the cover but didnt indicate it was more and there was a load of them there all under the £279.97 lable. The game was inside the Xbox box was 'Gears Of War'
No if they authorise it you will get a call to go back to the store to claim your refund. Make sure you look the CS smuggly in the face when you do this.:rotfl:I had a plan..........its here somewhere.0 -
chipbeck wrote:For what it's worth I find it hard to believe anyone could be forcibly removed from the store whilst attempting their first R&R.
Another gripe while I'm moaning is the old Bulk Buying policy. They'll let you buy as many as you want until you or rather they realise you've been overcharged.0 -
lol, lets hope..........will let you know what happens!0

As per previous post if you feel you were manhandled unnecessarily press charges the police have a duty to look into it.
If all you say is true then you have been seriously mistreated, and are probably bearing the brunt of others r&ring in the same store. The manager had probably had enough of this and snapped, he may well look back on his actions now in a different light.I had a plan..........its here somewhere.0 -

I would ask HO to send a chq out as you dont want to go in the store again.... you then have chq sent out and an umarked receipt.. go to different tesco and get another refund!!0 -
NOOOOO! I have just come back.
In store they had them as in stock at £279.97...someone had changed them today..there was a lady going around changing all the price labels in the dvd's games etc. Project 8 was changed so was the simpsons..:(:(:(
