    Good Morning,

Last night I purchased an Xbox 360 for my brothers birthday.

There was 2 prices for Xbox 360's in the store, £194 ish and £279.97.

I picked up a box from the shelf showing £279.97 as this is what I wanted to get, went to the counter and purchased it.

I got home to find I had been charged £297.81 so I rang up and was told to come back in.

When I got there I was offered the difference which but then I pointed out your overcharge policy!

The customer service then got very funny with me!

Now bearing in mind the only shelf edge lables in the store for the Xbox 360 were £194.xx and £279.97 no matter where you looked in the store and i was charged £297.81.

Also, can I use a different store for a refund & retain process other than the one I purchased from?

Can you please advise me on what to do now?

this reads as an undercharge to me so no R n R possible i think

194.xx is for the core edition

297.xx is for the premium edition, i presume this is the one you bought so you were undercharged by 16p

Ummm we seem to be getting a lot of un-usual stories from a lot of newbies.. umm interesting...has Mr T hired some more trolls??

Sorry if i'm wrong in this but strange we've had two in one morning..

I am a firm believer that you should take people at face value to begin with, you will soon find if they are not being truthful as the saying goes. 'What a knotted web of lies we weave when at first we do deceive.'

It will catch you out eventually and there are a few elephants on here with very good memories, be warned new posties!
    I had a plan..........its here somewhere.

  • Alfreton Store 29th November

Bratz Runway Fasion Boombox SEL £59.97 Register £79.97
Barbie Fasion Wardrobe Set SEL £29.97 Register £39.97

No problem with an R&R of one of each.

    Cheers

    :rotfl: :T thanks
  • Cheers for the info,

I just spoke to customer services on the phone and they took all the details.

They are apparently going to ring me back.......do they authorise R&R on the phone?

FYI, they were like DVD cases on the shelf, the one had a pic of the game on the cover but didnt indicate it was more and there was a load of them there all under the £279.97 lable. The game was inside the Xbox box was 'Gears Of War'
  • Isnt £279 for the Premium edition and £297 for Premium + Gears of War?

They've done this in my store as well... They have put out the Gears of War pack out in the Premium display point and not made it clear of the change. Please post what happens...

For what it's worth I find it hard to believe anyone could be forcibly removed from the store whilst attempting their first R&R.
Another gripe while I'm moaning is the old Bulk Buying policy. They'll let you buy as many as you want until you or rather they realise you've been overcharged.

Just remind the member of staff who mentions the bulk buy policy about the recent wine promotion where they encourage you to buy 6 bottles of the same wine and get X% off, and if they dont remember that then point out they also provide those natty little bottle holders which funnily enough are designed to hold 6 bottles.
