Snoozer - sorry to hear about your dad, thinking of you all xx
Well today we didn't quite manage all that I hoped! Cinema with dd1 was good, and then we dropped off dd2 and friend, picked up dd3 on our return then headed for Asda, making a list as we went! Got plenty of stuff for meals, but given how much we stretch food, I think that we have enough for 3 weeks meatwise! We got 1kg of mince, 2 large chickens, 2 packs of ready made meatballs (on offer at £1 each, so cheaper than making our own, and just beef with salt and pepper), also 2 large packs of bacon and a smoked gammon joint! Total shop came to £60, so not bad at all, as stocked up on assorted bits that were on offer, tahini, cleaning bits, and some tinned fruit for dd3's jellies, mandarins seem hard to find whenever I look, but they had tins of the broken ones which are ideal! Oh and that total also included some magazines for the girls - bought from their pocket money, dd3 has given me her £3, dd1 still owes me £4, so shopping was actually cheaper yay!
Did get the pesky fridge cleared and cleaned! And made up some couscous for dinner, used up some l/o olives that were marinating in the fridge, a couple of sad peppers, tin of sweetcorn, a lemon that was on its way out, and some of the bargain feta I bought today. It was delicious, and felt lovely to be eating something healthy and summery after all the winter dishes we've had!
Now browsing internet and cookbooks for ideas with all this meat, stretching it is great, but would be nice to stretch it into something new! About to look at Economy Gastronomy for their suggestions!
Forgot to mention, dd2 cleaned and hoovered downstairs whilst I was at the cinema with dd1, I swear I could smell polish too, which is strange as I didn't think we owned any lol! Bless her, this baby is having a very positive effect on the children, they are all so keen to help, long may it last! xxxGC Oct £387.69/£400, GC Nov £312.58/£400, GC Dec £111.87/£4000 -

I did go on the website, at the begining of all this, but will have another look tomorrow.
I think dad was in there for a week initially, with a view to make it a long term placement. Sis and I are going to talk to mum on friday, I am not sure why she does not want the day centre etc, seems everything we arrange is cancelled xx
HJ thanks hun xx0
