Hi, this is the Daily Thread for tuesday 22nd Feb. This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything Old Style and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what Old Style things we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an Old Style natter. The more the merrier!
As this is the Old Style Board, it would be appreciated if posts could include some Old Style content. Please be aware that many people may have small screens, or slow internet connections, so please don’t post large pictures, or clip art – links are preferred.

Morning Halight and all who follow.
From what I can see, looks very foggy here this morning.
Have been up since 4.45 and pottering about hoping my back will get a bit easier - it hasn't and to top it all have been icky again (Tmi I know!) so looks like another day off work! Rang OH and he suggested I got a taxi to work, no sympathy there then! wouldn't mind but he was off work for 9 months with back trouble and I was a little :A to him :rotfl:
So no OS going on here today, although I have done 1 load of washing and need to put it on the airer.
Hugs for poorlies and sorelies and those going through a bad time, extra hug for Ruby, remember we are all here for you to talk to xx
Have a good day xwhoever said laughter was the best medicine has clearly never tasted wine

Morning,
Today is just another day at work, tonight we will be having stir fried cabbage, onion and beansprouts with panfried fish (Never had it before and the cabbage was on offer... not sure how this will turn out). Anyway, that's pretty much it!
Last night we watched 'Letters from Juliet' I absolutely love that movie!
Anyway DS not being here is making for a quite week!
have a great day everyone xWe spend money we don't have, on things that we don't need, to impress people we don't like. I don't and I'm happy! Mortgage Free Wannabe :dance:Overpayments Made: £5400 - Interest Saved: £11,550 - Months Saved: 240 -

quiet day i hope i dont think anyone has to go anywhere today until tonight where DD1 has trampolining followed by an aerobics class
will do some cleaning as the place is always a tip when its half term, and i have been lacking in energy since i was poorly last week - so must shake myself and get some stuff done
(((hugs))) to all that need0 -
Morning all
Hubby's been dropped at the station with his packup, I have to drive back to the Registry office for another attempt at getting the paperwork for the wedding.
DD2 is coming over later & we will go to feed the ducks with her 3 children, DD1 is coming over tomorrow for a repeat performance with her 3 foster children, normally they'd all come on the same day but one of the foster children has chicken pox & with the new baby being so young they are staying apart.
All the meat I bought yesterday has been portioned up & put in the freezer & I really need to do some housework today as none got done yesterday.
Have a good day everyone.
Hugs Hester

Morning everyone - damp here but at least the snow/sleet/slush has stopped!
Off to work soon and got a mountain of papers to shred, I find it strangely relaxing and satisfying so save it all up. Think it's the noise and the feeling that a job is done?
Brekkie will be bacon and eggs, got loads of soup to have to lunch and evening meal will be a pile of veggies with stir fried lamb JG - just cut the cabbage finely and it'll be lovely. I slosh in lemon juice too as it's not only a great substitute for salt but gives a lovely flavour too.
I've won some money on EuroMillions :j:j though only £6.30 so I won't be retiring just yet.
Two more bricks for my dream cottage by the sea though!
Ruby, my heart goes out to you and I wish I could help. Only thing I can do is to offer my thoughts which won't really be any help at all. My aged father hated the idea of a care home (as did all the family). His condition got worse so it never happened but I know how difficult a situation you are in. xx
Right, shower waits for me no longer. Hope everyone keeps well and warm. Spring IS around the corner but it's a helluva long bend.0 -
Good morning everyone,
Grey and very wet here again. I really need some blue skies and sunshing to lift my mood!!!
Meal plan out of the window. As we are just feeding DH and me until Saturday, need to use the opportunity to use lo stuff bunged in the freezer. Today will be cut up roast lamb in gravy. I have the leg bone in the freezer, so will simmer that to make lamb stock to add to the rest. Will hopefully get a good lamb base mix that we can have today with lo veg, then left over mix made into curry for tomorrow.
Mount Washmore is huge now as I have been waiting for SUNSHINE!!!!!!!!!!!!
I shall have to give in and use td and radiators:( But we do need clothes!
Best wishes for a Happy Tuesday, hugs to those that need or want them, Silver xOutside of a dog, a book is man's best friend. Inside of a dog it's too dark to read.

Hope you all have a good day whatever you are up to.x0 -
Morning all
Not managed to get on for a few days so a bit behind with all the news - hope all is well, hugs to anyone in need.
I got back on the diet bandwagon yesterday, tried them all over the years but as I'm a greedy so and so the weight never stays off!! I'm doing the one that helps you slim fast. There are hot x buns looking at me though
but I must resist....
Usual stuff going on this week work clean sleep on repeat!!
I've got something out of the freezer for tea - not really sure what it is hopefully something mince-y :rotfl:
Hope you all have good days

Foggy here

Busy long day yesterday and off out all day for a 'get tigether' with the top brass at work - their efforts to get out and meet the workers
HM herby sour dough bread for a sandwich though!!
Had an email from my Aunt in New Zealand, my cousin and family live in Christchurch - they're ok but understandably freaked out
So not a lot of OS today
Hope everyone has a good day
