It's nice to see you are Low Gi ing
I had gammon last night... tastes very nice with mushrooms, eggs and broccoli. But that makes it very low Carbs... so I had popcorn for dessert
I personally find adding half a wholewheat pitta bread helps fill out a lot of meals. Also cheese sauce (made with stoneground wholewheat flour, which is Green) helps make cauliflower/broccoli/leek cheese which is a great potato substitute and uses very little cheese. I also seem to add Broccoli to everything... because it's low Gi and I like the colour!!!
Quinoa (sp) is supposed to be a great rice substitute (only I won't buy it as it's expensive)!
Which is why I can't fathom my H who will happily watch stuff like Scarface  Sorry but since having the kids I only watch stuff that's going to make me feel good or thrillers.
Quinoa - food of the Gods apparantly. More like Trill to me

Had a nice lunch out with an old friend and a natter, she is in despair about my DD's attitude towards me, apparently i'm a K nob now;):rotfl::rotfl:
My answer to that would be "takes one to know one"
Snoozer - sorry to hear about your dad. I really hope it's not the worst news possible, crossing everything for you. I hope he's not in too much discomfort xxx
Had a lovely walk this morning, called at cafe where we shared a portion of chips, pot of tea and slice of cake
Very MSE and not something I'll be able to get away with once the kids get older :rotfl:
Am cream crackered now, kids watching Shrek and I've still got to sort out something for tea......I have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knife

Well mixed day here today. Not too bad a day at work but have found out that an old work mate died last night. He had lung cancer but before christmas had been picking up and he had also started driveing again after haveing his one lung removed and and most of his rib cage on that one side too.
He was the man that trained me to do my job, Iv known him for about 13 years and had become close in that time. He only finished work 2 years ago. He would have been 69 this may.
You work all your life in the hope that you can spend some time doing the stuff that you wont to do when you retirer, But it dont work out like taht for many people:(
Oh well life goes on.
Another bloke at work has his his sone out traverling. Hes been moveing around the world for the last 10 months and is due back in two weeks time. We he is in NZ at the moment, And stopping in the city of christ church:eek: His mom and dad had been trying to contact him all morning since that had heard on the news about what had happend. Thye left MSGs on FB. Thye tryed phoneing and texting his moblie. They even tryed phoneing the NZ embassy in london but could not get thouth to them (i bet they have been very busy all day)
They were both very worried. In the end his dad come into work late to try and take his mind off the waiting to hear thing. About 30mins after he got there his wife phoned to say that he had been on FB and left a msg that he is safe and well!
As i said a mix day today!.
My own best mate that went out to live in NZ last year if at the other end of the country so i know taht he is ok. I have asked him on FB how is is this morning. as you never know if he is vistiting other parts of the country. He aint got back to me yet. But id say hes find. His wife has used her facebook page today so if anything had been wrong she would have posted it anyway.
Well i hope that everyone is well.
Steak and kidney pie, chips and beans for dinnner tonight.
Enjoy your evening all:j:j:jYou can have everything you wont in lfe, If you only help enough other people to get what they wont.:j0 -

Evening all
((((Redruby)))) Hope things begin to improve for you, it must be so hard for you being in the middle.
Candygirl - love the alternative (and apt) description of you:rotfl:
Been a fairish day here today but turning cold now. Finally got the car back last evening- feel much better having some independance back.
Have heard from OH today to tell me that he has gone on short time so not sure how that will affect things between us now. Up to now he has been paying his share of the bills but can't see that continuing when he gets short money - fun and games to come I think!
OS wise, after work I walked dog, swept and mopped floors, emptied all bins as it is bin day tomorrow and cleaned the bathroom.
Had chicken breast with mushrooms and corn on the cob for tea done on George Foreman. I am finally starting to eat again, just need to start sleeping without tablets now. Break up diet has been good for my weight loss anyway, I have lost 2 stones since this all started, mind you I have plenty to go at, need to try to keep weight loss up now but eat healthily. My skin has certainly suffered whilst I was off my food, looked like a teenager with all the spots that appeared:D
I am clock watching at the moment as I have to go to pick my DD from city centre as she has been working in Glasgow today and she should get back to Leeds at about 7 o'clock,so I said I would pick her up and take her home.
Have a good evening all
