It's a nice bit of fluff isn't it? DS LOVES the trailer (it appears on a couple of his films) but I think it's actually the music he really likes
Morning my lovelies
This was me this morning at 7am
Get me exercising, not only at 7am but just actually exercising. I did Jillian Michaels Shred last night and again this morning. I am sooooooooooo unfit. It was harder this morning as my muscles were tired and I can feel my back is bit tetchy. Why can I run around the kids up the park and not end up with a tetchy back but running on the spot knackers it? I liked it because it's only 20 mins long which is just the right amount of time I like to spend exercising :rotfl: Lets see if I can keep this up
Plans for today are to take the kids for a walk (assuming I can drag my legs round that is
). Was going to take them to the woods where DS does his Forest Schools but TBH it's foggy, damp and it will be horrendously muddy so have opted for a walk round Earlswood Lakes. My mum is coming to so may head to local craft centre for a sneaky cup of coffee
Just had my sausage, poached egg and slice of toast for bekkie yum yum
Need to fit in a little bit of housework before I go so I really ought to get a move on

Sorry there were a few things I was gonna respond to but can't remember. Gotta dash, it takes me FAR too long to find the smilie I want on Diva's site, can't see the wood for the trees on there
Hugs, spoons and high fives all round. Have a good day OS or not.
Oh and I've not decided yet what's for tea
I have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knife

I think the sceens are lovely, the actors realistic, and the story line... well it's a classic for me! Why watch a movie unless it's going to make you feel good??Tea tonight will be gammon and pineapple. I am Low GI ing so not sure what to have with it yet but I am thinking I will have to give up bread alltogther as it really affects my tummy (well I think its that)
It's nice to see you are Low Gi ing
I had gammon last night... tastes very nice with mushrooms, eggs and broccoli. But that makes it very low Carbs... so I had popcorn for dessert
I personally find adding half a wholewheat pitta bread helps fill out a lot of meals. Also cheese sauce (made with stoneground wholewheat flour, which is Green) helps make cauliflower/broccoli/leek cheese which is a great potato substitute and uses very little cheese. I also seem to add Broccoli to everything... because it's low Gi and I like the colour!!!
Quinoa (sp) is supposed to be a great rice substitute (only I won't buy it as it's expensive)! We spend money we don't have, on things that we don't need, to impress people we don't like. Morning!
Cold and grey here.:o Going swimming later, managed 14 lengths last week, which I was proud of. Stepped on the scales this morning and qm now 11stone 10lb. Two weeks ago I weighed 12stone 5lb, so I am really pleased!:T
Been going on "My fitness pal" tracking my food and exercise, and it seems to be working. Found a great exercise program on Fitness TV. Everyday 2pm - 3pm. "Chairobics". Perfect for me, no standng or hard work, but just serious exercise that I can do. Jackie O and others like me will find it great! I recorded it too, so that I can do it at weekends. I am determined to get into that outfit for DD's wedding!:j
Been to the bank to sort the last of Dad's Power of Attorney. All done now. It has been a nightmare 18 months, but all sorted now, and he's happy which is the main thing.
Had DG yesterday. I was asleep by 8pm:eek: 10 month old babies are hard work!:rotfl:
Essex girl Hope the funeral goes ok.
Red Ruby ((((((((((((((HUGS)))))))))))))))))
Hope you all have a good day!

A Bargain is only a bargain if you need it!0 -
redruby I do feel for you all its a dreadful debilitating discease for not only your dad but the rest of your family.Your Dad ia obviously very frightened and so is your Mum she is 'losing' her OH a bit at a time. There is no easy solution for any of you.The cash debts are just a by product of what your Mum is going through ,she is just as much in a state as your poor dad and you and your sister are in the middle .
yesterday I met one of my neighbours whom I hadn't seen for awhile and asked after her OH .he is a lovely chap and at 82 had survived being torpedoed during WW2 and unemployment and various other disasters and come though smiling .He was the one to give me a cuddle when my late OH was taken off in an ambulance when he had his heart attack and said 'Go with him lovey I'll lock up and sort out things for you here' He has been a great neighbour for 15 years and the backbone of our local little community. His wife told me that he has been diagnosed with early onset Alzheimers and she isn't in the best of health as she is blind in one eye and has difficulty walking through arthritis. She looked worred sick bless her. There's little I can do except offer her a shoulder and told her if she needs anything just to bang on the door no matter what the time is or what she needs. She says Bob has good days and bad ones .I am so sorry for her as he had always been the strong one looking after her and most of his neighbours as well. She says its a day at a time as she can't plan anything in advance.More reserch is needed .I know she has the Admiral nurses coming today to explain a bit more to her and she is hoping to get some medicine for him that won't cure, but will maybe help stave off the worse symptoms for a time . I do hope you can get as much help as possible for your Dad and you can bang on doors and ask.most folk will help if they can I find.We are all here to listen when you have a bad day too so rant away and we all send you much love
taplady thats amazing I would love to know a bit more about the place .We are staying on a farm, and the cottage is called Newtown Haven.I am really looking forward to it
I had a far better nights sleep last night and although my arm is still up the redness is fading a bit.there are biro lines all around the redness and the Dr said if it goes over the lines with infection then i will have to probably end up going to the hospital so hopefully these new super anti bios will do the trick.
Toady I am just going to be pottering around I think I have a small line of washing out but there doesn't seem to be much wind around just yet to give it a good blow Lunch will be soup and a roll and dinner will be freezer roulette.
I hope everyone has a good day and <<hugs >> to those who are feeling down or blue
Cheers JackieO xx0 -
(((hugs))) to you redruby. Really things turn a corner soon with definite plans for your dad. I think the not knowing is so hard. My dad was in a care home with dementia - my mum had died a year and a half before and his dementia wasn't really obvious at that point. So hard to 'move' dad into the home but they cared for him very well and there were things he enjoyed. Your dad hasn't had a chance really to settle anywhere yet so it must be confusing for him. Agree that your mum, (maybe with staff support?) should be the one to talk to him about staying in a home, if this is decided. If she is unwell herself then maybe the staff could do more of the talking. In the meantime, take care of yourself - good food, rest if not sleep, treat yourself as you would a really dear friend who was going through this. Sometimes you have to step back a bit and care for your own needs - if you don't put yourself 'first' sometimes, you get depleted and have nothing at all to give to others.
Back later but popping out for dog walk.0 -
Happy birthday to coco then

essexgirl hope funeral goes okay
rosie, sounds like you'll have a brilliant day!
hilstep congratulations on the weight loss
Surprise surprise, I've had another rubbish night coughing and am feeling rough! I just can't get to sleep or stay asleep, been running off <4 hours a night for over a week now and that really gets to me, I look and feel awful. I'm going to spend the rest of the morning and most of the afternoon doing uni work in bed and will watch my evening lecture from home. OS is fairly minimal, I was the only one in over the weekend so the place is still pretty clean, do need to do a big batch of knedliky and some inventory/meal planning.Living cheap in central London :rotfl:0 -
Morning all,
Late one from me - have been at the hospital where they stole my blood  something to do with being pregnant and therefore clearly a pincushion :rotfl: some poor girl opposite me fainted isn't it funny the different phobias we all have? I'd faint if I saw a snake but needles and blood don't bother me in the slightest!
Dazi, sistercas and JackieO - hope you all feel better soon
JackieG - hope the boys are better soon
Redruby - ((((hugs)))) I'm sorry things are tough for you
Bargainbird - you sure you're not anaemic? That can make you feel like carp tired all the time. Might be worth popping in the Docs hun.
Going to keep my efforts to a minimum today - only been back to work one day and am knackered. Still only 5 weeks and 4 days to go (not that I'm counting Bargainbird honest
)
I've got a craving for an extremely creamy and expensive pasta dish tonight so I'll take my slap on the wrists for being non-MS like a lady
and buy the proscuitto on my lunch break. I know I could substitute with smoked bacon, but the baby needs proscuitto - see it's not even me :rotfl:
Hope everyone is ok, hugs to those in need/want xxSometimes that mountain you've been climbing is just a grain of sand,
What you've been out there searching for forever is in your hands0
